Rohatyn – Known for its Snowcapped Mountains, Rolling hills and the Kosiv Basaar

Rohatyn is small town located in the western part of Ukraine and is about 50 km north from Ivano-Frankivsk. Rohatyn was a major defense settlement during the First World War and many intense battles took place around this region. Even to this day you will find a number of trenches, bomb pits and even bunkers in their local forests. In one particular area you will only see small grave hills but no monuments are preserved.
Ukraine’s Rohatyn boasts the most beautiful view of Pikula Mountain that is so breathtaking, especially on a clear day where you can see the picture perfect outlines of the mountains. You will also see stunning rivers and waterfalls cascading down the hillsides, a delight to look upon. The Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast is one of the richest forest regions in Ukraine.
