Viking Cruise Lomonosov: Kherson Tour Part I

Because of that, documents have to be filled out, food, water and other provisions brought on. It was interesting that Viking's restaurant wait staff women were all from Kherson. The ship docked in Kherson around noon and our buses set off on a drive through the city while Olga dispensed information. A brief stop at St. Catherine's Cathedral across the street from a prison. Prince Grigory Potemkin was buried here, dug up by the Russians and later reinterred in the same spot. Catherine the Great visited St. Catherine's during one of her state visits. Possibly because Potemkin had been her lover? Just asking...
