An homage to Battleship Potemkin by Eisenstein on the actual Odessa steps in Ukraine 2011

We recreate the influential Odessa Steps scene in the film Battleship Potemkin, using an orange! (Nobody would let us borrow their baby and pram), in an homage to the famous Russian film director Sergei Eisenstein. According to the film critic Roger Ebert: "The Battleship Potemkin'' has been so famous for so long that it is almost impossible to come to it with a fresh eye. It is one of the fundamental landmarks of cinema. Its famous massacre on the Odessa Steps has been quoted so many times in other films (notably in "The Untouchables'') that it's likely many viewers will have seen the parody before they see the original." http://www.ebertfest.com/one/battleship_rev.htm This video was filmed and narrated by Matthew Wright and Heather Wright Heather & I thank you for watching this video.
