  • Top 5 products with highest level of price hike in Ukraine in 2017
    A lard, one the most popular products among Ukrainians, rose in price by UAH 28 per kilogram in 2017, taking the first place in Top 5 list of products, the leaders of price growth in 2017, according to Director of the Ukrainian Association of Trade Networks Suppliers Oleksiy Doroshenko.

    Top 5 (in hryvnia terms):
    Lard (rise in price by UAH 28 per kilogram)
    Pork (by UAH 27 per kilogram)
    Butter (by UAH 27 per kilogram)
    Beef (by UAH 26 per kilogram)
    Soft cheese (by UAH 20 per kilogram)

    Top 5 (in percentage terms):
    Lard (68% price hike)
    Beet (58%)
    Carrot (57%)
    Pork (37%)
    Beef (30%)

    As UNIAN reported earlier, inflation in November 2017 was reported at 0.9% against October 2017, while it stood at 13.6% year-over-year.

    The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine projects inflation at 12.9% in 2017, while the National Bank forecasts a 12.2% inflation at the year-end.

    Ukraine's key lenders, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, forecast a 10% inflation in 2017.
