Ukraine and Istanbul - Part 2 [12:11]
In July, 2011, Pat and I flew to Kiev, Ukraine, and boarded the Viking Lomonosov for a 12-day cruise on the Dnieper River to the Black Sea; then we flew to Istanbul, Turkey, for four days. In Part 2, we see the elaborate lunches and dinners. Lunch was ordered from the menu, including soup and dessert, but the first course was an extensive salad bar, with one hot item and a special sandwich. Dinner was five courses, with very good local wine or beer included. Later, we take a tour of the kitchen, and participate in a charity raffle, where everyone wins something!

Ukraine Pictures - Part 2 [14:57]
These are still pictures from our summer of 2011 trip to Ukraine and Istanbul. This second video starts at the Sultan's Palace at Bakchisarai, near Sevastopal; we continue to Yalta, where we see the White or Marble Palace where Churchil, Roosevelt and Stalin met during WWII, then finish in Odessa.

These are still pictures from our summer of 2011 trip to Ukraine and Istanbul. This third video starts in Odessa. From there we fly to Istanbul (after 10 hours in the Odessa airport because of an Aerosvit Airlines pilots' strike!) where we visit the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
