Roads in Tusheti/Drogi w Tuszetii/თუშეთი/тушети [04:07]
Tusheti is north-east province of Georgia. It is situated in Caucasus mountains and geographically Tusheti remains literally wedged between Azerbaijan, Dagestan and Chechnya. There is only one road heading towards Tusheti. It was built only in 90's this century. The road is open from April to October as during other months heavy snow makes it unavailable. It is best to take 4WD car to get there. This mountain road is rather tight and to some extent dangerous, so it is a big challenge for inexperienced drivers. The best option is to rent 4WD car with a local driver. Road is over nerve-juggling Abano Pass which is almost 3000 m above see level. Its length is 70 km so it can consume up to 4 hours to get to Tusheti. Same level of difficulty applies to all roads in the region. Route from Omalo to Dartlo and further to Chesho would be a good example. This movie contains a set of videos taken on the road from Alvani to Omalo and Chesho to Dartlo. These trips has delivered to us an amazing and unforgettable experience that should not stop anyone from visiting Tushetia -- spectacular region in Caucasus which can amaze you by its great nature and unique monuments of stone defensive towers. Videos were taken in August 2010 by a group of people from Social Cultural Association "Bridge To Georgia" from Krakow, Poland. Tuszetia jest jednym z regionów w północno -- wschodniej części Gruzji. Jest to położona w górach Kaukazu prowincja, wciśnięta po między Azerbejdżan, Dagestan i ...

Here's a quiet little Ukrainian town in a loop of the Dniester. There's a rail bridge and a road bridge crossing the river. The Dniester rises in the Ukrainian Carpathians and flows south to the Black Sea. 1380km in length, once river traffic was more common. Between 1918 and 1939 Zaleszczyki was in Poland. Here was the border to Rumania. and before that the town was part of the Austro Hungarian province of Galicia. There was an army barracks here. Czernowitz, The Vienna of the East, is just down the road on another big river, The Prut.
