Switch On Ukraine HD 60" [01:00]
Shootgroup team is glad to present a visit card commercial of the country named "Switch on Ukraine" dedicated to the championship Euro-2012. Commercial will start broadcasted on Euronews and Eurosport channels since November, 15. Tough work lasted during the month. Driving through the country from Donetsk to Lviv, from Kyiv to Koktebel we one more time convinced how beautiful our country is. One of the most difficult tasks was actual process of "Switching on Ukraine" -- turning on lanterns of airport, opera theater, streets of Kyiv, Lviv. All possible services were invoived in electrification during movie making. It is not an easy job to be also electricians:) What is interesting that not only lanterns were switched on but the sun also. In different places all weather forecasts predicted rain but at a dawn a heavenly body smiled at us. It was really amazing:) "We wanted to do something special. To carry all people to a dream-land named Ukraine. We want that all Europeans see how beautiful our country is" - said director Yulian Ulybin. Sky light event, Kyiv.wmv [03:10]
This video was created by Iryna, one of our pre-selected candidates for the Travel Volunteer contest and introduces the Sky Light Event in Kiev, Ukraine. The action was arranged by Japanese designer Yamamoto Kansai, with main purpose -- to cheer the sufferers of huge earthquake disaster happened on March 11, and to respect those who suffered from similar disasters in Ukraine (nuclear accident of Chernobyl nuclear plant) and in Indonesia (tsunami waves in Sumatra Island). 500 of beautiful floating lanterns was released this evening into the night sky in honor and respect of the souls of those who died on or following March 11, and as a symbolic display of support and solidarity for survivors who have lost family and friends. It is second of three consequent event of this kind. First event was held on August 20 in Bali, and third will take place on September 10th in Fukushima.

AMAZING EVENT IN POZNAN (POLAND) night lanterns noc lampionów [02:06]
Poznaniacy zgromadzili się wczorajszym wieczorem w okolicach dwóch mostów: św. Rocha i Jordana. Impreza rozpoczęła się o godzinie 21.00. W niebo poleciało 8 tysięcy lampionów. Dodatkową atrakcją okazała się możliwość zapięcia kłódki symbolizującej miłość na moście Jordana. Noc Kupały czyli Sobótka Noc Kupały zwana też sobótką to słowiańskie święto związane z letnim przesileniem słońca. Obchodzone jest w najkrótszą noc w roku. Sobótka to święto ognia, wody, słońca, księżyca, płodności, a przede wszystkim miłości. Obchodzone było na obszarach zamieszkiwanych przez ludy słowiańskie, bałtyckie, germańskie i celtyckie i niektóre ludy ugrofińskie. Była sobie dziewczyna...,, Z nazwą święta wiąże się legenda, mówiąca o tym, jakoby sobótka była uroczystością ku czci pięknej dziewczyny o tym właśnie imieniu. Sobótka w bliżej nieokreślonym czasie zamieszkiwała ponoć bliżej nieokreśloną wioskę. Jej narzeczony, Sieciech, powróciwszy z wojny, miał swą wybrankę pojąć za żonę, jednak wioska została nagle zaatakowana przez hordy wroga. Podczas odpierania ataku Sobótka zginęła, trafiona w samo serce. Miało się to dziać właśnie w noc letniego przesilenia. Jan Chrzciciel zwany Kupałą Z kolei alternatywna nazwa Noc Kupały została wymyślona przez Chrześcijan między X a XI stuleciem. Kościół mimo usilnych starań nie mógł wykorzenić z obyczajowości ludowej corocznych obchodów pogańskiej sobótki, podjął więc ...
