Question

Hi All, I am a Pakistani national ,but a US Permanent Resident. I would like to visit Ukraine and I understand that I would require a visa.

1. What would be the best way to get a visa for Ukraine? I have been corresponding with someone in Kharkov.

2. Is Ukraine a safe place to visit (especially if you don't look white? )

thanks!

Unhappy no reply?

wonder why are Ukrainian visa's restricted so much for Pakistan nationals. I have a green card, live and work in United States. I just applied and got visa for United Kingdon via mail (within 3 days--total time).

But UA consulate does not recognize a green card it seems. And you have to either go through some tourist agency or a private visa. Are these options feasable?

thanks!

Thank you for the reply.

Does anyone know if Chumak Travel Agency (www.ukrainetour.com) is a bonafide agency? They seem to only charge $50 for an invitation letter. Anyone tried them?

thanks!

Hey Safar, the visa is not restricted for any nationals, everyone requires a visa to enter Ukraine.'except CIS countries'
I hold passport from Cyprus and i go under the same process.

But some nationals require an invitation letter 'incase of private visit' or a tourist voucher.

I recommend you to visit this website:
http://www.apartments.com.ua

They make invitation letters, they are quick almost 24h.
they charge 50$ for single entry tourist visa.

Yes, Chumak is big agency.
Another option would be to have your potential hosts give you the invitation letter. They can do it through local OVIR (passport police) for a small fee. Don't remeber how much it costs, but not $50, that's for sure.
