When is one of the cheapest times to visit Ukraine ? I don't mind if it is a cold time of year as I am used to the cold weather throughout my travelling past.I want to fly from London Heathrow.
Also is Zhytomir very far from Kiev as I want to visit it in particular as I have a friend who lives there and goes to university there.

I am having difficulty with GIFs. New computer, new problems. BUT I do so love it when Kasper calls me a silly girl.

Kathy

If you don't mind me asking, how old were you when you started speaking English to one parent and Ukrainian to the other, or were those languages spoken already when you were born? I am curious about how difficult it was to pick up the new language if there was a new one introduced into your life.
And what language did your parents use when they spoke with each other?
(I am thinking about what to do after I meet my pen-pal, because up to now we've been going through a translator, and she has a 6-year old, too.)
