It would depend on what you meant by dangerous.

The roads are not the best, the police will be looking to fine you, for anything and you might run it to the odd cow . In terms of bandits it'll be no worse than the USA.

Stephan, Thanks very much for your reply. By dangerous I mean, can you travel through out the year with no problem and is it safe. Can I drive allone or would you recommend to me taking a driver. By the way I am in Switzerland and here we have bandits too.

From the USA....
We have bandits??? OH MY. The only thing I can think of would be a large city carjacker(one who would take your car) And that is few and far between.. atleast while you would be in car... There was a problem with rental cars and passengers being assulted but I think that has been taken care of. How are the "bandits" in your country?

With a little research, anything can be found

Thumbs down

Hi Hafner,

If it's your first time in Ukraine and you have any doubts at all, then get a driver. The Kyiv Post has list of good drivers, most of whom are owner drivers. They're not too expensive and peace of mind, I would say is worth buying.
Also as a passenger you'll have the time to see some amazing sites.

I hope you have a great time in Ukraine.

Stepan.
