As I has just returned from me first proper trip to Ukraine I would like to offer this advice.

You must always & I mean always take with you four extra kidneys & six new livers. I stupidly only took one spare of each & am of course suffering accrodingly.

Love the NZman

Understanding needed here.

I fly to Kiev in a few weeks. So, then, they have vodka there, already? And beer? Do they drink vodka in Ukraine?
Should I bring my own in case they have run out; don't stock enough?

Because I just love Colorado Bulldogs. Vodka, Kahlua, cream, fill up with coke, drop in a few hazelnuts.

I'm telling you I ain't drinking any virgin Colorado Bulldogs. Are you sure they have vodka there or can get some?

Forget Colorado vodka, once you enter a Ukrainian pub you'll forget that there's even Colorado on the world map. Ever had Ukrainian Gorilka? BRRRRRRRRRR They have plenty of this stuff, they never run-out and it's the best quality! Make sure they give you those that are made in Lviv, they are the bestest quality. In a pub, they like to serve Gorilka by 50 grams...do you know how much that is??? Forget your usual American "shot", that's for wimps and Jorge Bush
I'm sure you'll love it in Kiev, it is a stunning city with the most beautiful kind of Ukrainian language! How long are you going for?

I fly to Kiev, then take train to Sevie (Sevastopol. Being the arrogant ******* I am, without ever stepping foot in Ukraine I have already given pet names to cities there; like I own the place or something.)

Spending only a week there. Taking care of business, wink, wink, with a certain lady I've been writing to and calling for six months.

I don't think I have given the Ukraine Embassy enough time to get me a tourist visa though. A little naivety on my part. Might delay my flight a few days which will be costly to fix.

It will be like being in a movie I am sure when I am riding on a train from Kiev to Sevie for seventeen hours, in a faraway strange land. But, I am confident the natives will be quite friendly as they were in Minsk.

Lets face it, I'm the Francis Gary Powers of the dating scene.
