I want to visit the Ukraine

Hello there,

This summer I want to bring a visit to the Ukraine for a couple of weeks. Although I travelled almost all European countries so far by myself, I'm looking for someone who wants to join or to meet in Kiev, or any other place around. Cause in some cases it's more fun to be with more people. So if you going there or if you have any tips or whatever, please feel free to send me a mail!!!!

Well I suppose it all began when I started to learn Ukrainian. It was an evening class, and there were quite a few older people in it (well just two senior citiznes, but that was lots for me). Anyway, as the class began winding down, some students began talking about going to Ukraine. But instead they referred to my beloved Ukrayina as "THE UKRAINE"!!!! Not Ukraine, but "THE UKRAINE". I suppose some people in THE CANADA don't realize that Ukraine is an actually country now, and is no longer a part of USSR.

So therefore if you want to look smart, don't refer to Ukraine as

Do I have to chase other people down?

Sorry for that mistake, and anyway I'm not from Canada but from THE Netherlands (Holland, as many people say, but what is actually quite wrong , cause Holland is only a small part of the Netherlands). So don't get angry, if someone makes a mistake!!!!! Cause I have to hear them all the time...

I will also be spending the summer in Ukraine, 6 weeks in Kyiv working at the university! I am 21, male and from England. I am trying to learn Ukrainian but its not easy so I only speak some of the language. It would be great to meet up with some people as I will be there on my own and I have never travelled alone! We really want to do anything bad if we say the ukraine.
It may happend because , like we in Germany say "wir fahren in DIE Ukraine."
That means : We will go to THE Ukraine.
So its may a translation fault.
Without "DIE" is a wrong sentence..
But now IЄm more clever
