Unhappy

I live in the USA, but have been writting via a translator a beautiful lady in Ukraine. We will meet in Kiev for the first time in person the end of the month.

I want to bring her a nice dress that shhe requested as a poresent. She is 5 foot, 5 inches tall and only weighs 125 pounds. She said her dress size in Ukraine was size 46.

She was told this was a size 12-14 in United States sizes. She is not a large lady. It seems that she would more likely wear a size 8-10. I went onto a web site for a conversion table. It did not say whether this size 46 was converted into European sies or U.S. sizes. Help! does anyone know where I can go to get a true conversion graph from Russian to U.S. Sizes? Is size 46 really a 10-12 size in the U.S.? Her shoes are 24,5-25. What size does that mean? Help. Reply to: jonathangulla@earthlink.net
Thank You.

It seems to me that European sies is minus 6. Therefore your size is 40

Clothing size

Nice try, but no way. It can't be a size 40. In the USA this would be a huge very large women. My lady friend is very slim to average. I'm still waiting for that Ukrainian to USA clothing conversion chart from someone out there. I found such a chart at http://www.uazone.net/Ukraine-Tips.html but it shows a Ukrainian size 46 being a USA size 14.

I once was married to a girl 5 ft. 8 inches tall whho was about 145 pounds in weight and she only wore a size 12.

Gosh! I sure hate to buy the wrong size. Any other ideas from anyone?

Well, It's 12:20 am in the morning here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, so I'll go to bed now and sleep on it. Maybe someone will have an answer in the morning for me.

Is Kiev, Ukraine 7 hours ahead of USA Eastern Standard Time?

Hi there! That's a tough one! It reminds me bying shoes in the US for my cousin in Ukraine! What a nightmere! Finally I got his mesurments in cm and used charts (some stores, internet, or like a big JCPenny catalog will have them) So, you might measure her and look for a size from there!!!
Sorry, can't help much here!

The only thing that I can tell you for sure is that the European sizes are different than Russian ones!! The chart you found seems a little scrued up, really!!!

Your lady is probably closer to a size small.

Anyway, try to go to this website and ask girls there, they might be more helpful http://www.russianwomenabroad.com
(I mean their's message board, you do not need to regester)
