Trip to Kiev next month, any last minute advice

Well my husband leaves the end of April. Does anyone have any ideas for me? He will be
there for a month. The friend who is there
will get him a apartment for the month. But
I was wondering if he needs to take anything
special that he might need. Or some gift for the friend. Maybe something that is hard to get there. They have 2 little girls also. So any ideas for gifts would be appreciated ! Everyone keeps telling me that it's a big city and you can get just about anything there. I don't know if this is true or not. But I know some american things I would miss.

I sent them a letter and they never returned one. Oh well next month I'll be sending a long list of things for my husband to find out when he goes !

Could anyone guess how many rooms in an apartment you can find in Kiev. Are there
3 or 4 bedroom apts available ?

Hi Corrie

I would suggest that you bye some toys for children. They love stuffed anymals. I know because I've being to Ukraine a couple of months ago & have some friends with small children.
Sure, you will probably find it all in Kyiv, but children love getting stuff from "America".
Or if you know the sizes of children, you can also bye them some T-shirts.
Beleive me, it will be greatly appreciated.
