Well mt departure date is this Friday. I Fly out in the afternoon around sunset. First stop Thailand then on May 10 I arrive in Kiev. I was going to go and visit Russia and Prague after Ukrain but the crap with Visa's put me off.

Instead I have planned to cath a ferry to Istanbul from Yalta then travel around turkey and the greek Islands the ro Rome... (All roads led to rome) I will spend two weeks in Itally before heading to Zurich, Muchin and Berlin/Hamburg From there I fly to Zurich and back to Thailand to relacx on a beach. Under this plan is things are looking good in Ukraine I can decide to stay an extra week.... Would like to stay longer but... accommodation is too expensive with the US Dollar at an all time high the cost of accomodation is going up and up and up... Why they can not just set it on local currency rates I fail to understand. It seams to me that Ukraine would benefit considerably if it just freed up some of its stupid rules, Visa and dual pricing system. They economy would boom and tourist would just poor in. It really has so much to offer.. If only they could open it up to the expaninding backpaker market. research shows that Backpapers reurtn later in life and spend considerable on a secon visit. The fist is used to just find their legs and test the water.

Anyway I have planned 10-14 days and May increase my Ukraine Leg by 1 week of all goes well.

YES. I am excited. Will keep you all posted

Cool

Hey SMAX
When I'm in Odessa, I'll still be checking my e-mail in internet cafes there, just let me know if you decide to visit Odessa and when.
I have researched some hotels there and found rates as low as $25 USD a night! I can give you all the addresses in Odessa and you can look around with that info in mind.
I'm staying at my friend's place close to downtown.
I know, the Ukrainian travel rules are stupid, they still do not understand the possibility of profit from tourism, I hope they learn fast..
Anyway, just e-mail me at Irinka25@about.com when you're in Odessa, alright?

Irinka

A very curious question: who advised you to lend expensive hotel or expensive rooms in hotel?
