We took a cab there! It's fairly close to town and very close to the waterfall. (another must see)
Make sure to spend several hours wandering around to see everything in deatil!

While in Yalta try and see the Czar's Palace as well as Count Voronsov's castle next door to it. I would post some pics but they appear to be in my wifes `puter.
While in that area of Krym, try to spend a full day at Bellakalava .Re-read , 'The Charge of the Light Brigade', by Alfred, Lord Tennyson before you go to Bellakalva! That's where that battle was during the Crimean War. Krym has a vast history that is so interesting.
The "Panorama' in Stevstopol will also give you an idea of that War. Chursoness, the greek settlement from ancient times is near there too.

Did I mention that I Love that area of Ukraine!

No Idea! It's been several years ago that I was there. But cabs are cheap.
We used the cabbie for a tour of the area. I bet that it would be under $20USD. There's even a good chance that the cab would wait til you were done so he could have your return fare. Ours did!
Busses would be much cheaper! And I'm sure that it's on a tour bus route if you take a bus tour of the sights.
