Question

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew where Artiomovsk is located. I have to travel there next week and was wondering where it is in relation to Kiev.

Also - would you recommend taking the train, driving or flying to Artiomovsk from Kiev?

Thanks for your replies!!

Eric

Eric,
Artiomovsk is next to Donetzk.
Take what you want: the train, the bus from Kiev. . Flying?
May be flying.

Thank You!! Have you ever been there? I am adopting a little boy from this town and will travel there next week to pick him up. Is there anything in the town that I should really see while I'm there?

Anything else I should know about this town?

Thanks!h

Thanks for adopting a little boy. It's very nice of you to do what you are doing...I hope you are gonna be happy.

Artiomovsk is a small place, and there are not many great interesting places to visit there. May be Irena can tell you more.
I also believe that English is not spoken much there.(I thought you would like to know that.)It would be nice if you could use some tourist agency in Kiev to meet you at the airport, put you in a hotel or a flat and to help you to get to Artiomovsk.(just a thought)May be they can even have an interpreter able to travel with you to Artiomovsk (for a sertain sum of money , of course)
You might find me to be too full of ideas today , but I am just trying to be helpful.
Anyway, be safe..Hope you have a good trip!

Talking

Hello Lina,

Yes, the adoption agency I am working with uses a Doctor (who was trained in the US) as my interpreter and local contact. She will be with me throughout most of the process.

I began taking a Russian class last week (no one locally teaches Ukrainian) because the adoption wasn't supposed to occur for another month. Alas, I had to drop out as I leave in a couple of days. I have picked up a Ukrainian book though so hopefully I can say a few nice things.

Thanks,
Eric
