The Golden Gate sounds really really interesting and I would like to know the history about this. I was looking into also the Great Lavra Belltower. I am a Sergeant in the U.S. Army so you told me about a WWII Museum is it called the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, Kiev? I read a little bit so I really want to go see this. These have also spiked my interest... National Art Museum of Ukraine, Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - Caves Monastery, and Ukrainian Museum of Historical Treasures. So, I am still looking into everything. I understand about the scammers you are talking about too Mike. I have been talking to Ukrainian girls for about 5 years. As soon as they ask me for money that ends our conversation. I tell them up front don't ask me for money and I tell them once I meet you in person and develope our friendship. We can discuss money as far as our developong relationship goes and if we ever decide to be serious. Thanks for looking out for me though.

That folk art museum is a short drive out in the country if I remember correctly. They've brought lots of old houses in from all around the country side. There are several windmills and several demonstrations of song, dance and wonderful music.
Is that the one that you're talking about Kathy? |

I liked seeing the old style thatched roofs there. There's a few thatched roofs still in use in some of the smal villages even. I was very surprised to see that. Usually they use a corrogated cement 'shingle' nowdays. You'll do alot of walking to be able to see everything. It's spread out over a very large area. Plan on 4-6 hrs at the site. Don't worry about lunch either, there's a very good restraunt on the site too.

That sounds really good to be honest with you. That is interesting to say the least as well. You know this is one of my dreams to go to Ukraine and take in as much as I can. I do speak a little bit of Russian and taking lessons daily on my computer program. I think I will know enough to get by. It is way different than English... I would like to know more about the food too because you spoke of a restaurant. I am a picky eater and do not want to offend anyone. So, anyways let me know about that as well.
