Vinnitsa?? help please

Hello all,

Could someone please tell me about Vinnitsa? Is in near Kiev and is it easy to get there from any large city?
I would appreciate any help or any information about this town/city.

Vinnica is main city in its oblast(state) it has borders with: Kyivs oblast, Jitomir oblast, Hmelnickiy oblast, Cherkasska oblast, and Odessas oblast. You can get there by road from any large city, by train or airplane. If you go tehre from Kyiv, you better take highway to Jitomir and then go straight to Vinnica.

Ok thanks for the information Stas. Do you mean go straight there as in quickly or do you mean the road is straight? Hehehehe .
Actually I will drive a rental car I'm thinking. Do you think that is a good idea?

Yeah I guess, if you go through jitomir, and turn to Vinnica from there, you will pass Berdichev and Kalinovka. I meant it will be faster to go that road, because it is a highway(shosse).

Yes I understand now and appreciate your help in this matter. I guess if you were able I would ask you to go with me to help translate and all that type of thing. Since you are too young I wont even attempt to ask you but would surely do so when you were of proper age.
I'm gonna just hop into town and meet some people there later in the year and I'm gonna have to prepare well for any worse case scenario that might happen hehehe.
I remember the time I was seperated from a friend in Amsterdam and he was later hit by an electric train. I was wondering what happened to him and was at a total loss. After a few days I was able to locate him with the help of locals and the police as he was hanging out in the hospital with a broken shoulder as well and many other injuries. That taught him the lesson about electric trains as we don't have them here very much hehehe.

Vinnitsa is located 266 km away from Kiev, and Kiev is the closest big city to the town to start the trip to Vinnitsa.
