World Cup 2006 Qualification: Georgia-Ukraine - 1:1 (Gahokidze, 89 - Rotan', 43). Match took place with an empty stadium.
Turkey-Denmark - 2:2. That means Ukraine, for the first time in its independent history becomes a participant of World Soccer Championship that will take place in 2006 in Germany!!!!!!! Ole-ole-ole-ole, ole, ole!!!!! |

Congratulations
Hi,
They will win the second match at the cup and also the third. This means they will make it to the final 16 right? Go look at my predictions post and note the Ukraine football team prediction. Camster |

They're on the Championship already two matches away from end of qualification, going from the first place in group. The will be in one of eight groups there. Each group contains four teams - not only European as now there are in Ukraine's group (Turkey, Denmark, Georgia, Albania, Greece, Kazakhstan - how did it get to UEFA?????). From the group in 2006 two teams come - every team will plat three matches in a group. Then 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 (one match), 3rd place match between semifinal's losers, and final. It will be a huge success for us if we go from a group, and if we get to 1/4, Blokhin will be idolized in Ukraine.
Note we could also go to Germany from the second place but in that case we had to come through a play-off match with a team that received the second place in another European group, and it would probably be dificult to beat them in two matches - in Ukraine, and in that country. |

Portugal hasn't guaranteed it will go to Germany yet. Remember former Portuguese participation in 2002 - 0:1 with Southern Korea, 2:3 with the USA, 4:0 with Poland and the third place. If they will play like that... it will not be a bad choice for Ukraine.
