hi football fans
i do like football and i'm a galatasaray fan..i know that there are friends here from britain and if i'm not mistaken happy gunner is an arsenal fan..unfortunately we had some bad relations with them in the past but i would like to have peace here and discuss football in fair play standarts..
this season in the champions league unfortunately my team is such a big dissappointment..we started with an away win against l.moscow which we all started dreaming of an easy qualification in the first elimination group but later unexpectadly we lost barcelona,brugge and moscow games..even two of them were in the ali sami yen hell which now seems to be a heaven for the visitors
anyway,if the miracle happens we'll be through but to be honest i have already lost my hope..

Hiya Giga, Are you on about Copenhagen? Hagi was brilliant! We can't bear grudges against every team who wins against us - There are too many of them and life's too short
As for the punch-ups, it gets the newspapers and TV exited but who cares
I was hoping Arsenal would meet Gala but we're fading recently as well (last four results: 1-2 1-2 1-2 1-2).
Still, Turkey are doing great, I went to Bratislava to see England play Slovakia and although we won we were VERY lucky, you're definitely favourites to finish top.
I'd better confess that another Turkish lad on these forums, hamsi, has converted me to follow Besiktas, I believe Besiktas & Gala are not exactly in love with each other

it really was great 2 years ago..that was the happiest day of my life..unfortunately there was violence on the streets of copenhagen and i still believe, there wouldn't have been any if the media hadn't been provoked much..well,that was a great success for us and later we beat real madrid in monaco and got the title of super cup winner as well..the good old days
british premier league is quite popular here in turkey i guess it should be like that in many countries..as far as i know arsenal is a london team and they are from the north part of the city where a lot of turks live..and that's another interesting anechdote..before the uefa final i remember the reporters were having interviews with the turkish guys who live in arsenal region..they all said yes we are turks but we are supporting arsenal in the final..cuz it's our team..and we were all very surprised for sure i hate man.u. but has got an interest in liverpool..and since tugay who is a former galatasaray player, plays for blackburn,i try to keep an eye on rovers' results as well..

Muzzy Izzet plays here for Leicester, he is good enough to play for England and they didn't pick him so he chose Turkey as his father is Turkish. He is a brilliant left-footed midfielder, he even has a racehorse named after him

Giga, which stadium in Istanbul will have the Turkey v England game? I hope to go to Istanbul for the game, I have only been to the airport before, I am desperate to visit that city.

well gala seems to be ok at home but we are still dissappointed by the football being played..cuz,everybody is looking for the good old days..fatih terim,the emperor !, is back from italy..new barazilian transfers..but the system hasn't been settled down yet and we hardly win the games..gala used to smash its rivals but now many teams are coming to istanbul dreaming that they may get points..they've got the courage,the motivation..anyway,hope it's gonna be ok..
i think turkey-englang game will be in "ali sami yen" stadium which is gala's hell cuz the ambiance,the acoustics is great there..so the national team coach prefers that stadium..
tonite is very important..it's fenerbahce-galatasaray derby ! i'm quite excited and worried as usual..cuz,it's one of the most difficult derby games in europe,just like r.madrid-barca..lazio-roma..olimpiakos-panathinakos..etc..and there has always been violence before and after the game for years..a draw would be fine for us cuz it's gonna be in their stadium..
