Hi Albatros on the beginning of another EURO football Games

Albatros, I am sure you follow the European Football Championships EURO 2008 in Austria & Switzerland. All Europe became CRAZY these days. Poland was not successful in yesterday game with Germans - but who can beat Germans after all?
I spoke with one Australian a week ago and he maintained than soccer has become increasingly popular in Australia, competing effectively with some kind of exotic Australian football.
Groetjes Albatros and veel succes voor je voetball jonges.

Hi Zbyszek,

Thanks for the well wishes for the Dutch team. It seems it worked, because they played a great match yesterday against Italy. It was a surprise as they haven't played this well in years.

Poland didn't have a good start against our collective neighbour. But it's just a first match, Holland lost its first match in 1988 when eventually they won the tournament. That means nothing's lost for Poland yet, so good luck to the Polish team as well!

Hi Zbyszek and Albatross ,

That’s wonderful you have started a discussion on Euro-2008. I am eager to join it.

Zbyszek, what do you think of Podolski ? ( and Close in addition). I still can not calm down. It was something unthinkable and unbearable. I know that some tabloids in Poland wrote about new Grunwald, etc. I know how aggressive and brutal were German funs. I wish that game didn’t happen at all. I didn’t expect to see such poor Polish team. I won’t ever support German team. I think we all here stood for Poland but …. Then who can stop them ? Perhaps the Netherlands indeed ?

Albatross,

I did remember you ,Axel , when watching that play. Once upon a time you criticized current situation in the Dutch team. But now they are wonderful. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Marco van Basten is great again. BTW after the game he gave an interview to one German channel in perfect German. Are those languages so close ?

We all are talking now yesterday’s failure of Russians. Forums are boiling. If you are here I am sure you know it.

Ps Where are you at the moment ? I like your passion to traveling. I will write much more one day… still am struggling very bad connection and lack of time.

Go Holland ! What a nice surprise !

Hi guys, I had a fortunate opportunity a week ago to spend a few days in one good Swiss company manufacturing excellent machine tools and quickly became obvious that football is a topic number two even at strictly professional meeting of people from three continents. We even received a nice adverstising EURO'2008 Fan Guide brochure from the famous tool manufacturer Walter with a funny comment that it will be a good tool to satisfy customers.
Yes, Polish team sucked with Germany I must say. Iwll not weep for long over it, though. Frankly, I am not too serious football supporter and I prefer to run a little every evening myself that spend hours in front of my TV drinking beer. Tabloidal comments are stupid of course and hooligans of all countries make me sad. Jim (that Australian) was quite literate in knowing what European, including Polish, hoolignans are capable of and it made full of shame. Jim recounted some events taking place during a recent Polish derby meeting in Cracow. Gosh, they are crazy, crazy beyond imagination!
Today is a critically important day for the Polish team playing with one of the EURO2008 hosts - Austria. Will it be another failed revenge for Austrian historic partition of Rzeczpospolita (Poland +Lithuania) more than 2 centuries ago?? ha ha.
God save Poland God drive Holland!

Podolski is a guy to be proud of, Close.. as well! Good boys
Albatros, I appreciated your nice comment concerning Lviv - it is really an architectural gem, only needing money, money and money once more like Venice. My dream would be to make this town a symbol of Polish-Ukrainian friendship.
Marco is a shining star again - unbelievable!
Greetings Serhii, you do not post much last times in fact.
