I am a mother of a 7th grader in the USA. He is doing a report on the Ukraine. He would like to maybe learn about the differences in ways of life in our two countries. So if possible to talk to a boy his age. Thank you.

If you look around this board you'll find heaps, but I'm not too sure how appropriate...

Good luck.

That is what I am worried about. I am trying to protect and also help my son with this. I hope to find someone upstanding to help with this project. He really wants to do a good job.

I can only guess, because I have never been to Ukraine.

I think there are alot of people here who would be willing and very able to tell you everything you need to know.

Perhaps if you told us what your looking to find, perhaps add an e-mail address.

Give them time time to answer though - most of the messages happen here when I'm in bed.

My son is looking for everyday sort-of-things like what kind of games or sports are played. What kind of music or bands are popular. What everyday life is like for a young teen in the Ukraine.

There is yet another site, uazone.com, which is pretty rich in those terms. The Ukrainian Cultural Center in Warren, Michigan, outside Detroit, has lots of reference materials of that type as well.

Thank you so much for the info. My son would like to know if he would be able to find a site where he could talk to a teen at this uazone. He is very intersted in trying to speak to somone in the Ukraine. Thanx again :-)
