Let's dream...
To build a private single launch reusable spacecraft. The purpose is to build a private space station in order to explore space, develop commerce with Earth, and build a future human colony on Earth's moon. First rule: let there be NO MONOPOLY IN SPACE. Let the spacecraft be financed by private citizens from around the world. Governments may become partners but not majority shareholders. To use http://www.ukraine.com as an OPEN FORUM or other forms of communication to discuss and make realistic plans with different people from around the planet. In terms of a budget, let COMMON SENSE be the second rule, not politics. For example, NASA needs a thousand or more scientists to launch its space shuttle. To launch a private spacecraft from Earth, a few dozen or more GOOD scientists will be enough with the right technical equipment and open minded government. Sure other free citizens may have started a similar project... but a little competition is a good thing. Anyway, I'm waiting to start a serious conversation with like minded individuals. For now, I will participate in this proposal as a part-time hobby. From time to time, I’ll post some relevant information. At the very least, make a decent attempt to have fun and learn something useful during the internet adventure. If you do not agree with the first rule, go to the second rule. If you don't agree with the second rule, go to the first rule. If you do not agree to either rule, find a better way. In a free society loyalty to a government is determined by the individual. Godspeed. ![]() |

What kind of propulsion system you got in that picture?
I definitely have a couple of billion dollars that I'd like to contribute, who cares if it fails or that a billion people are starving worldwide. Why would anyone want to live on the moon anyway? Transporting the necessary food, water, and air would just contribute to the costs of the project. Protection from constant bombardment of radiation and micrometeorites would also have to be provided for. And you would have to subject people to unnatural conditions that could expose them to all kinds of medical misfortunes. |

Hell yeah! I'm in! Just as soon as I pay for government paid healthcare, welfare for those that don't want to work, government bailouts of corporations that should fail, pork barrel spending coming out the wazoo, blah blah blah, count me in!
