Learn how to succeed in college

I found this between my papers as I was packing my stuff

1. Find and get to know one individual on campus who knows you are there and who cares about your safety. One person, that's all it takes. It might be a proffessor, an academic advisor, etc

2. Learn what helpful resources your campus offers and where they are located. Get in touch with the people who are there to serve you. [Ex, our univestiy has a writing centre where they edit and review our papers ]

3. Understand why you are in college. Your college experience will be much more productive if you can identify specific goals yo want to accomplish

4. Set up a daily schedule and stick to it. Now that no one is around to tell you when to stuyd or when to sleep, you need to do it yourself

5. Assess and improve your study habbits. An integral part of success in college involves assessing your own learning style, taking better notes in class, reading more efficiently, and doing better on tests.

6. Choose good professors. Get to know more about professors and how to get closer to some good ones

7. Improve your writing. Your writing skells will serve you well throughout life if you take some pains now to improve and secure them. The more you write, the better you write.

8. Develop Critical thinking skills. Challenge. Ask why. Look for unusual solutions to ordinary problems and ordinary solutions to unusual problems. There are few absolutely right and wrong answers in life, but some answers come closer to being "thoughtful" than others.

I hope you're not yawning by now I better save the rest for later.
