The historical facts in the Bible has been confirmed with every archaeological finds, burying many critics. Put another way, no archaeological facts has been found to contradict the written facts in the Bible.

Had Europe known the advanced medical knowledge in the ancient Bible during 1200-1400 A.D. one-third of its population would not have died in the Black Death (Bubonic plague).

The OLD TESTAMENTS stands or fails on CREATION as tod in GENESIS and EXODUS being a fact. GENESIS is BULL.****. Science has voided all that is written in Genesis. No evidence has been found that Moses and the Jews were ever in the SINAI.

The NEW TESTAMENT and CHRISTIANITY stands or fails on the Immaculate Conception, Virgin Birth and the other Bells and Whistles of the Jesus Story. No EVIDENCE to support any of that BULL.**** either. What eveidence there is, tells me that Mary was knocked up by a ROMAN SOLDIER, which pissed ole JOSEPH off.

Further, I have already prided you with passages from the BIBLE where you can read about the FLAT EARTH and the GEOCENTRIC UNIVERSE. You must have been DOPED up at the time.

When I want questions like these answered, I look into the various magazines from the different religions, like Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh day Adventists, Christianity Today, etc. The people who write the articles for these magazines are so much more intelligent than myself, or anyone else, so they are able to tell the rest of us what God wants. One time a 16 year old kid from Jehovahs Witnesses told me all about what God is thinking, because there is no way I could know myself. I'm not smart enough. In my grandparents day, the preist was the guy who had a direct line to God.

The fact is, religions really do dumb down people. I would like to see what realy goes on at the headquarters for religions, whether in Rome, New York, or Salt Lake city.

The bible:
One guy in the Old Testament was swallowed by a giant fish. In another section, God tells someone to go and kill a whole bunch of other people. I'm not sure if the Old testament was meant to be studied too deeply. When I turn on the radio or tv, and they start talking too much about Old testament characters like Isaiah and Ezekiel, I turn it off.

Even if the bible has a lot of things that can't be understood ( unless you happen to write articles for one of the big religion's magazines- then you understand everything ) it is by far too important of a book to overlook. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the things that Jesus said in the new testament.

There is nothing better for people than having a good conscience. Christians know their sins are forgiven, but with one catch - Jesus said, Go and sin no more.

From the above posting it seems obvious that we now have the SUPER FAITH. It's called CHRISTIANITY.

The question becomes: which of these two movements have harmed humanity more? History is clear on this. The CHRISTIANS. This is not to say that the Nazis were nice guys. However, they had a short time in power. CHRISTIANITY
has been TORMENTING PEOPLE for along time.

You know I almost hit it because your kind of narrow-minded religious bigotry and ignorance is merely shocking. Why do people need a god of any kind in the first place? Why don't you do the right thing because it's the RIGHT thing to do, not because of fear to be punished by some imaginary being? It looks very much like sucking up to a bully. It's too bad thatreligious indoctrination begins in the tender age, not around the age of 13-14 when people start acquiring critical thinking skills and are able to see the enormous falsehood of religion. Religion does offer comfort, but it's a false comfort, the kind that drugs and alcohol offer as well. It helps people mask their problems instead of dealing with them directly. Why do so many people believe in all sorts of gods? Because blind faith is a much easier job than critical thinking, and it is easier to act like a parrot and repeat what you were taught when you were young instead of thinking and coming up with your own conclusions even though deep inside you struggle with thosed discrepancies you started noticing about faith when you you hit your teen age.

Yes, it is time to hit all panic buttons out there...I'm very sincerely sorry for you and your likes...

To the people who can't stand religion:

If the only thing you know about it is that some priest goes around acting holy, and a bunch of people sing songs mindlessly, and they mention funny names like obadiah, and the people seem to go into a trance when they all pray at once, then I agree with you - religion is no good. If it's churches that build enormous new buildings while continually asking for more money, I agree, religion is no good. If it's televangelists that pretend to be on God's side, while raking in a fortune, and pushing their own political views, then I agree, religion is no good. If it's big business religion that you don't like - fine. If it's the hundreds of years of total insanity caused by the Catholic and similar churches, then I agree. Religion is no good.

But the fact is that our ancestors are not monkeys. The fact is there is a God. Why should people do the right thing because it's the right thing when it's virtually impossible for them to do the right thing even when they're scared they will be punished by God. And why blame Christianity for all the problems in the world when there are virtually no Christians around now - just a bunch of phony religious people.

What you people are doing is criticizing the phony Christian. That's fine. But if you want me to prove, one step at a time, why it's a hell of a lot better to follow the bible than to follow the 'anything goes religion of atheism' I'll do it.
