"Have you known a Hungarian or a German or Ukrainian to collect WELLFARE? Never. We work and make this country stay
above the water. Barely."

B_Ungaro, I'm not going to speak for Hungarians or Germans because I don't know but, as embarrasing as it is for me as a Ukrainian, I'd like to say about some Ukrainians and Russians, who come to the States as "religious refugees". Remember that unfortunate incident in Sacramento where this crazy Ukrainian lunatic Soltis murdered his pregnan wife, son and cousins. The neighbors of the family where all babbling about being persecuted in Ukraine where one can be throuwn to jail for owning a Bible. COME ON! Every press kiosk carries Bibles, New Testaments and all kinds of other religious "opium for people". And those so called "refugees" DO live on welfare. it's easier, it's free money. American taxpayers pick up the tab for all those Pentecostal families with 10-13 childred ( you see, their religion prohibits using condoms). I see more harm done by religious indoctrination and religious zealots to this world than good. Much more harm, no matter how much righteous outrage Theja is going to pour out in response. If suddenly all religions disappeared the humanity would not descend into chaos. It would be just fine because people are not stupid, they'd figure out soon enough that in order to survive they would have to cooperate with each other, that is not to kill, not to desire somebody else's wife , not to steal and so on and so forth - basic common sense societal rules. And nobody would need a super being to look up to... Moses was smart enough to put those obvious things together , stick his people's noses into it and got a credit for that.

So whatever happened to godless/religionless idea of communist countries? All collapsed except North Korea , surviving by oppressing the people and starving them to death. A beggar nation. Oh wise Lubov and the great Ungaro!

Theja,

You're out of your league.

Communism in the Soviet Union imploded upon itself for economic reasons! Don't confuse issues.

Your answers here take the form of fan dancing.

My question was very simple and you have yet to answer it.

Hannia, I was referring to the contempt shown by Lubov and Ungaro on religion. But your opinion on the collapse of Communist Russia is incomplete, though I don't wish to get on a discussion on this here. So don't ask me.

Theja,

I fully understand that God inspires you. "Your" religion provides you w/a confidence in the future & in turn creates stability in your present.

But what about those black holes that are being found in every universe? Certainly these scientific findings put a whole different slant on everyone's reality. None of us (nor our religions) are that important in the big scheme of things.

All that religion does is provide one w/a stability in an uncertain world!

Ungaro and Lubov merely have their own way of creating that stability for themselves. Does that mean they will go to hell? I somehow doubt it.

Theja,

You are a DOPER. Right?

It is our PATRIOTIC duty to try to improve those things which are preventing us from reaching Social Enlightenment.

I am hard at work, while you are in a DOPE INDUCED SPELL.

Get a grip.

Bill

Oh, yeah, Hannia, rest assured, there are adjacent burning pits reserved for the two of us there. I'm so scared!...
Yeah, right
