Why I Believe in God
V-G
I'm sorry to hear that some Christian caused you harm. The reason I'm sorry is that Christians caused me harm also. Why I'm jumping to conclusions is because every one who says there is no God that I've seen yet, the real reason is that a Christian caused them harm, and by saying there is no God, they avoid setting themselves up to be harmed again. The big problem with people acting like they know about God, is that they really don't. We're only a fraction as intelligent as God - we can't even cure the common cold. But at the risk of being ridiculed I'll explain why I believe in God. Every one of the 6 (plus) billion people on earth have two parents. Each of them has two parents. If you follow the worlds population back in time it keeps getting smaller ( that's a scientific fact) until there is only the first two people. God had to have created them. Just the thought of a bunch of monkeys evolving is repulsive. Nothing just 'happens.' If you look at an excellent oil painting with every brush stroke just perfect, you can easily tell the difference to a pianting created when some paint accidentally fell on the canvas. If you look at nature, it is infinately more perfect than any oil painting, and the atheists try to say it just 'happened.' That's another idea I find a bit repulsive - that one day a big bang just 'happened.' Yet if the earth was any clocer to the sun, we'd burn, and any farther from the sun - we'd freeze. If people just happened , where did we get our ability to be creative. Just look at some of the letters on these Discussion Forums. I wonder why humans just keep on 'creating' and 'creating' new things, instead of just sitting around and 'evolving.' |
