Syrians do but Assyrians don't. They had no Christianity cause they were Pagan. There is alot of debate about this in academia and alot of people who are on both sides of this arguement claim various ancient sources and also some more modern sources to prove points either way.

Assyrian is a type of Akkadian, very few people can now read it, none are native speakers as there have been no native speakers for thousands of years, Akkadian is a semitic language. The Neo-Assyrians (about 3000 years ago) used Aramaic which is now an endangered language and many suggest the survival of Aramaic today is because parts of the Bible were written in it.

The claim of being Assyrian is seen by some to be similar to the Basque separatists claim of being Keltic, there is no real evidence to say yes they are and plenty to say sorry but no you aren't.

The Chaldee are the same people that Abram come from, he later had a name change to Abraham. That is why I said what does downtown Ur look like nowadays. Both these peoples, yes they were originally two separate peoples, have been absorbed into other peoples much like the Kelts of Gaul were absorbed into the French. Bloodstock is so mixed throughout Asia Minor and the middle east that it is impossible to say the people of Syria, northern Iraq (not the Kurds) and other areas are different to everyone else based on genetic heritage. The Kurds are a different matter but even they have deep historical ties to the rest of the middle eastern peoples through guys like Sala-hadin.

And I hate to say it but Lebanon is not on the Arabian Peninsula. Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen are the only countries on the Arabian Peninsula.

Let's get a few things right out in the open: anyone can edit a Wikipedia entry, it's never going to be 100% accurate, during breaking news there may be many factual errors posted before the entry is accurate, and considering all this it shouldn't be relied upon as the sole source when doing research. One question that is always asked about Wikipedia is, "can the content be trusted?"

Anyone can edit Wikipeadia if they are logged in. It is highly problematic and often has topics edited to make a political statement.

A highly politicised ePublication for a single purpose that is also highly politicised. There appears to be now way to verify any of the contents of what is contained in this site as it is all "secret" material.

Muslims believe in the prophets and messengers of God, starting with Adam, including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them). But God’s final message to man, a reconfirmation of the eternal message, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad
