This is in Lebanon. Lebanon has the biggest christian minority on the Arabian peninsual and i believe in the Muslim world.

It used to be called the Paris of the Middle East, then Muslim Druze, sunni and shiites overthrew the Christian government and then it broke down into ethnic and religious fighting.

Maronites are the largest christian group in lebanon constitute 25% of population of lebanon. They are part of the eastern rite that recognizes the pope.

Second largest is greek orthodox. 30% of lebanons population is christian.

If you want to compare chrisitanity and Islam this is where you want to do it. The funny thing is none of those groups united Druze fought shiites and sunnis and Sunniis fought druze and Shiites. Same thing with the christian groups or sometimes christian groups would unite with Shiites like shiite amal or hezbollah.

assyrians still exist and so does their type of christianity. Chaldean is the main christianity in Iraq. Both are part of the Eastern Rite that recognizes the pope.

Assyrians speak a syriac language.
