Religion is the cause of all hatred, so let's treat it, and those who practice it, with contempt.

Sort of a tautology from an atheist, isn't it?

Tautology? Only if you think that religion and followers are one in the same.

The real question is, should atheists recruit other atheists to help promote their agenda just like religious people do?

Woah, Kathy that is just harsh. Believing in logic, morals is not believing in nothing

The objections to religion are of two sorts - intellectual and moral. The intellectual objection is that there is no reason to suppose any religion true; the moral objection is that religious precepts date from a time when men were more cruel than they are and therefore tend to perpetuate inhumanities which the moral conscience of the age would otherwise outgrow.

Bertrand Russell is quite optimistic in assuming men at some time were more cruel than they are now. I don't believe the human condition has changed much.
