The Prophet was an erring Muslim.

If history is to be believed the Prophet Muhammed was guilty of many gross errors. Foremost among them were rape, robbery, murder, incest, and homosexuality.

Today, Muslim worship the Prophet as the perfect Muslim. None of them seem to think it the worse form of idolatry. But they quickly condemn the Christians for worshipping Jesus, the Christ.

Misconception #2: Muslims worship Muhammad
According to Islamic belief, the Prophet Muhammad was the last Messenger of God. He, like all of God's prophets and messengers - such as Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus -- was only a human being. Christians came to the mistaken assumption that Muslims worship Muhammad by formulating an incorrect analogy - they worship Jesus so they assumed Muslims worship Muhammad. This is one of the reasons that they called Muslims by the incorrect name "Mohammedans" for so many years! Muhammad, like Jesus, never claimed divine status. He called people to worship only Almighty God, and he continually emphasized his humanity so that people would not fall into the same errors as Christians did in regards to Jesus. In order to prevent his deification, the Prophet Muhammad always said to refer to him as "the Messenger of God and His slave". Muhammad was chosen to be God's final messenger --- to communicate the message not only in words but to be a living example of the message. Muslims love and respect him because he was of the highest moral character and he brought the Truth from God - which is the Pure Monotheism of Islam. Even when Islam was in its very early stages, God revealed that Muhammad "was sent as a mercy to all of mankind" - thus informing us that the message of Islam would become very widespread. Muslims strive to follow the great example of Muhammad, peace be upon him, but they do not worship him in any way. Additionally, Islam teaches Muslims to respect all of God's prophets and messengers - but respecting and loving them does not mean worshipping them. All true Muslims realize that all worship and prayer must be directed to Almighty God alone. Suffice it to say that worshipping Muhammad --- or anyone else --- along with Almighty God is considered to be the worst sin in Islam. Even if a person claims to be Muslim, but they worship and pray to other than Almighty God, this cancels and nullifies their Islam. The Declaration of Faith of Islam makes it clear that Muslims are taught only to worship God. This declaration is as follows: "There is nothing divine or worthy of being worshipped except for Almighty God, and Muhammad is the Messenger and Servant of God".

CHRIST - The Son of God

One of these days Kaz, you'll get something right about worshipping God 'in spirit and in truth' - by recognising that we only really KNOW GOD through Jesus Christ and we can only have FAITH (not just 'belief', but real, living 'faith') through accepting God the Holy Spirit into our lives - GOD FOR US, TODAY.

You make an awful mistake by stating that 'Jesus did not claim divine status'. He was God - He IS God - He will ALWAYS BE GOD and He clearly stated "I and the Father are ONE".

I know that you and I will never agree on this matter ,unless you ask God to remove the scales from your eyes and you see Him in all His love and grace for you. There are other postings equating christian atrocities vs. muslim atrocities - sure, wicked things have been done by many men in stupidity and totally without God's instruction.
But I simply want to come back to TODAY. TODAY- I know that the one true God - revealed to me in the life and person of Jesus - the divine Son of God - and explained and lived out by me through the power of the PERSON OF HOLY SPIRIT (with His help) - I know that I can please my God.
My life was changed from death to life - from darkness to light - the day I repented of my sin and asked Christ to be my Saviour.

I DON'T BELIVE IN 'RELIGION'. I believe in a living, loving God, who loved me and gave Himself for me before I even knew Him.

Kaz - over the last weeks, you have filed this board up with stuff cobbled together from so many sites that I've lost count. How about you tell us about YOUR faith !! Who is the real 'Kaz' and what happens when the chips are down for YOU ??

Regards,
ANDREW

Greetings Andrew,

How are you doing? Oh yes, What will you do when the chips are down? This seems to be the justification of Religion and or Faith, more and more. I hear it even in my Family.

It seems that a very large Industry have grown up from the fact that Humanity is afraid of the unknown. To make sure that it remains UNKNOWN, a large effort is on the way to cover up or denigrate the advances in science that would clearly enlighten people.

Friend, please pick up a curent edition of the Newsweek Magazine. In one of the articles (I think under religion or science) they talk about how our brain produces religious
thoughts. Guess what, - it is the same part of your brain that produces FEAR and PANIC. Fear of the Saber Tooth Tiger,
fear of the unknown. It is not the part that stores pleasant
memories or gives the ability to reason. It comes from the same part that produces FEAR. I rest my case.

THE UNKNOWN

Bill, the caveman had 'fear of the unknown' - you and I both have 'fear of the unknown' and don't tell me you don't - 'cause you're human like the rest of us !!

The difference is - I worship THE God to whom ALL THINGs ARE KNOWN - BECAUSE HE MADE THEM !!!! I don't need to look into my brain and take it to bits to find out why I think this or that. You and they are simply telling me what God has already done - and stuff that is dead interesting - but I don't have to worry about it, or try and catch some clever line that attempts to explain something new. Science is fantastic - marvellous - God is using the knowledge man has gained of medical science right now to heal my cancer (or the other way around - I don't mind !!). I can honestly say "I have not experienced fear" regarding this matter - and what part of my brain is involved - I could not care.

I walked out of that surgery having been told the score and said "Lord God - my life is in your hands. It always has been for 48 years - but now the reality will just be a bit more sharply focused!!"....and do you know Bill, if I told you the truth about the love and support and joy that I have and am experiencing from brothers and sisters around the world, (from my own family, + Ukraine friends and USA, etc.) you would accuse me of exaggerating !! I am humbled and blessed right out of my socks. It has opened up a whole new understanding of God's love and graciousness to me.

But then - why did He let it happen ?? He had a plan - not to give me fear, but to give me joy in obeying Him and being made strong and mature in faith and actions. My Saviour never had an easy path - and He never offered one to me, so should I blame Him for this? of course not.

His ways are not my ways - but when I set my ways to follow HIS - even hell has no fear for me.

I'll pass on that article, Bill. I am not arguing that it may not be absolutely true - it's just that it does not impact on my life.

Kind regards,
ANDREW
