The Holy Messiah is Jesus Christ, and the one sent to give salvation. For Jesus took our rightful place on the cross. Acts 4:12 "Neither is there any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Our sins must be washed away, and good works cannot make us holy in God's sight, but only the Holy One can make us holy by His blood. PaulL |

PauILL,
You are confused as to the teachings on the subject of Messiah and Christ. Joshua, Yehoshua (Jesus), was messiah. He led the Children of the Damned into the Promise Land. The story is told in vivid language in the OT. Christ never claimed messiahship. Nonson 1.13.01 |

Hello PaulLL, AMEN!!!!! Christ was the Messiah. Messiah, definition: The deliverer and savior promised to the Hebrews; Christ, the Anointed; the savior of the world. Messiahship, definition: The office of the savior. Relating to the Messiah. You see, a Messiah(Savior) was promised to the Hebrews, and this prophecy that the Hebrews were waiting to be fullfilled, was fullfilled perfectly in Jesus Christ. But they rejected Him, because they decided that they wanted to have their Messiah, Jesus Christ, as a king. John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own recieved Him not. But Christ did not come as a king, He came as the savior of the world!!!!! Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;(the whole world) and unto them that look for Him(the saved) shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Christ himself said in John 5:39, Search the scriptures for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify(prophecy) of me. Christ claimed He was the Messiah every time He claimed He was the Savior of the world. He was the Messiah, the very One that the Hebrews prophecied of and had been waiting for!!!!! Joshua was definitely a type of The Messiah, but he himself was not The Messiah because he was not the savior of the world. He does not fit the definition of Messiah above. Now Joshua did not lead the "children of the Damned"(they were most certainly not the children of the Damned! They were the chosen people of God, the Israelites!) into the Promise Land, Moses did!!!!! Joshua certainly helped, but in no way was he the man chosen by God to lead the Israelites into the Promise Land. -DanielH- |
