In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful GOD: IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION By: Dr. Norlain Dindang Mababaya God is not the author of the Book that underwent Revision: Christian authorities until now are coming up with revisions after revisions and translations after translations of the Bible. But while they are trying to make it appear to the public that it is " the word of God", the different revisions of the Bible by men however, simply belie such an assertion. In fact, these revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man’s ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect. Even the Bible also preceives God to be perfect (Matthew 5:48) ; and that His words are pure (Proverbs 30:5); living and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). As such, no man nor any group of men should ever revise God’s Book. To come up with millions, if not billions of copies of any of the versions and revisions of the Bible does not only entail a waste of money and other resources but more so, a waste of time and effort on the part of its patrons. The Bible, touted to be a Holy Book by Christians but surprisingly, is not I for God did not say so, will just create confusions and deceptions to peoples. This work, just like any of our publications does not intend to insult the Christians of any sect and denominations but to guide and elighten them to the Truth. Anyone who reads the Bible will never find single verse in it that claims that God is its Author. Neither did He inspired its different authors. Instead, onew will read the following Biblical verse that clearly implies that God is not the author of the Bible: "For God is not the author of confusion but of peace..." (1 Corithians 14:33) The Bible, written by men, creates confusions instead of guidance. It encourages diversity insyead of unity and sects instead of universal brotherhood. Above all, it teaches mysteries in life instead of truthful teachings. The worst effect of the Bible is for man to deny the existence of his Creator. It is because of the absurdities and confusion of dogmas it inculcates in the minds of many people . Without knowing the Holy Qur’an as the Book of God readers of the Bible who know its real nature become atheists. There are American scholars who became atheists because of their disbelief in the Bible. Some of them even wrote about the defective nature of the Bible. or instance, G.W. Foote and W.P. Ball jointly wrote "The Bible Handbook". The American Atheist Press (John Bowden, ed., 1982, P.37) made the observations of the said handbook: "Everything I shere: absurdities, indecencies, contradiction, unfilled prophecies, broken promises of god, obscenities, sadosochism, and imposibilities." Robert G. Ingersoll came up with a booklet concerning the Bible entitled "A Few Reasorts for Doubting the Inspiration of the Bible". He enumerated more than 60 different reasons who mans should not believe in the Bible as "an inspired". In "The Bible Contradicts Itself" (1982) edited by John Bowden readers would find it very tiresome to verify in the Bible many contradictions enumerated therein. The more than 200 discrepancies exposed by the auhor are sufficient proofs to negate the extravagant and wholly untrue claim that "the Bible is the Word of God". For other presentation of the contradictions and errors of the Bible, readers may find Ahmad Deedat’s "Is the Bible God’s Word?" (1980) amd Maula na M. Rahmatullah Kairvanvi’s book, "Izhar-ul-Haq part 2: Contradictions and Erros in the Bibilical Text" (1989) very scholarly. Also, it must be pointed out that the Christian readers of the Bible cannot deny the truth that the Bible exist in different versions. Different versions also call fro several revisions to correct the inconsistencies and errors in the Bible. We except its authors to commit inconsistencies becuase of the individuals references. They commit errors because, as human beings, theyare subject to mistake. Very clear. Christian Publisher who kept on producing many revisions of the Bible are only deceiving peoples of the World. Examples of the revisions are follows; William Tyndale, 1525; Corvedale, 1535; the Great Bible, 1539; the Geneva, 1560; Rheims, 1582; King James version 1611; the 1769 Revision of the King James Versiob; Revision of the King James Version, 1870; English Revised Version 1881-1885; American Standard Version 1901; Revision of the American standard version, 1937; Revised Standard Version of New Testament, 1946; Revision Standard Version of the Bible, 1952; Second Edition of the Translation of the New Testament, 1971; The New King James Version, 1979. Why should any sensible man be the object of glaring deception when different men have revised the Bible for many times? How come the Bible has undergone many revisions? Why until now, the Christian World keep on revising the Bible? For instance, just very recently, the National Council of Churches in the U.S. sponsored a major verse-by-verse over haul of the Revised Standard Version (RSV) of 1952. They aimed to come up with the New Revised Standard Version. rev. Bruce Metzer, the New Revised chief translator mentions: "No fewer than 26 modern English translation have appeared during the lnadmark Revised Standard Version of 1952. This month a major verse-by verse over haul of the work. ... The New revised Standard Version is being shipped to America Bookstores. In the around the world, for both private readng and public worship... But as more and more new translation and revisions jostle for market position, the familiar King James phrase are gradually obligated from the common memory bank of the English-speaking peoples. barring a miracle, it appears there will never again be a single standard English Bible - and that is a wrenching change for Christendom." (Richard N. Osting, "Farewell to Thee’s and He’s," Time, May 21, 1990, P.59). It must pointed out that the Reviser of the Revised Standard Version of the New Testament made the King James as their Original source. Unfortunately, the Revisers of the King James Version based it upon the Greek text that was "marred by mistake, containing the accumulated erros of the fourteen centuries of manuscript copying." This bold criticsm about the Bible comes from the Christian authorities themselves. The Christian scholars responsible for the Revised Standard Version mention this in the first Preface of the Revised Standard Verion published in 1952 by the Melton Book Company, Dallas, Texas, U.S.A., the Reviser made the following comments of the King James Version: "Yet the King James Version has grave defects. By the middle of the nineteenth century, the development of Biblical studies and the discovery of many manuscripts more ancient t han those upon which the King James Version was based, made it manifest that these defects are so many serious as to call for revision of the english translation." (1952, P.iii). Concerning the translation of the Bible, the English speaking peoples until now could not agree with a real standard translation of the Bible. Different groups of Bible scholars have been coming up with the translationsof the Bible. The Christian World could not agree which, of the various English translation of the Bible they should follow "for private and public worship." They get confused as to which, of the following "four popular translations of the Bible" really seves as the standardized translation of the Bible: The King James Version, the Amplified New Testament, the Living New Testament, or the Revised Standard Version. When will the Christian World stop revising and translating the Bible? Will they ever comew up with a final standard verion of the Bible? These questions pose confusions to the readers of the Bible who truly seek the Truth and Divine Guidance. Unless they will read and believe the Holy Qur’an as the Book in Truth from Allah, the One and Only God, tehy will never get away from the confusions that the numerous discrepancies instill in the minds of the readers. God is not the Author of the Book that belittle Him: If God is the author of the Bible or that God did inspire its different authord, how come the Bible speaks of God, contrary to His very own divine nature? Take for the example the verses allow himself to create confusions about himself? Could one belittle his self? Similarly, is it inconsistencies in the Bible concerning God? 1. Are there other "gods" beside God? Exodus 20-1-6; Isaiah 43:10;44:6 Versus Deuteronomy 6;14; 1 Chronicles 16:25; Psalm 82:1,6; Jeremiah 10:11; Zephaniah 2:11; John 10:34. "I am the Lord your God. Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the House of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not take for your self any carved image, or any likeness of naything that is in the heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God., but showing mercy to thousand to those who love Me and keep my commandments." (Exodus 20:1-6). "You are My witness, says the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me." (Isaiah 44:6) The following are some Biblical verses that claim that there are gods beside God: "You shall not after gods, the gods of the people who ar all around you." (Deuteronomy 6:14). "And the temple which I build will be great, for our God is greater than all gods." (2 Chronicles 2:5). "For the LORD is great and greatly to be paised; He is also to be feared above all gods." (Chronicles 16:25). "God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods." (Psalm 82:1). "I said, You are godss, and all of you are children of the Most High." (Psalm 82:1). "Thus you shall say to them: ‘The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens." (Jeremiah 10:11). "The LORD will be awesome to them , for He will reduce to nothing to nothing all the gods of the earth; people shall worship Him, each from his place, indeed all the shores of the nations." (Zephaniah 2:11). "Jesus answered them, ‘Is it not written in your law, I said, ‘You a god." (John 10:34). 2. Is there a man greater than or equal to God? Is it not that God is infinite - He has no beginning and no end? Because, if God is merely the first, then somebody must have created Him and that somebody must be the One and only true God. How come Melchizedek according to Paul has such qualities? Isaiah 48:12 Versus Hebrews 7:1-3. "Listen to ,me O Jacob and Israel , My called: I am He , I am the First , I am also the last" (Isaiah 48:12 ) . The Bible characterizes Melcizedeck as greater than God for it says that "he has no beginning of days nor end of life"; Whereas, God is merely the "First". "For this Melchizedeck, king of Salem….meaning, "king of peace". Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually." (Hebrews 7:1-3). 3. Does God dwell in darkness or in light or in heaven? 1 Timothy 6:15-16; Isaiah 66:1 Versus 1 Kings 8:12; Psalm 18:11 "Which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen." (1 Timothy 6:15-16). "Thus says the LORD: ‘Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me?" (Isaiah 66:1). The Bible shows that God dwells in darkness: "Then Solomon spoke: "The LORD said HE would dwell in the dark cloud." (1 Kings 8:12). "He made darkness His secret place; His canopy around Him was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies." (Psalm 18:11). 4.Do people see God or not? Jeremiah 10:10; John 1:18 5:37; John 5:37; 1 John 4:12; 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Timothy 6:16-17; Hebrews 11:27 Versus Genesis 26:2; Genesis 35:9; Exodus 24:9-10; Job 42:5; Amos 9:1 Genesis 26:2 "But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to abide His indignation." (Jeremiah 10:10) "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him." (John 1;18). "And the Father Himself, who sent Me has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at anytime, nor seen His form." (John 5:37). "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." (1 Timothy 1:17). ".. He who is the blessed and only potentate, the King of Kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom be honor and everlasting forever. Amen." ( 1 Timothy 6:15-16) "By faith he forseek Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the King; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible." (Hebrews 11;27). "No has seen God at anytime. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfect in us." (1 John 4:12). The Bible narrates that there were men who saw God: "Then the LORD appeared to him and said; ‘Do not got down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you." (Genesis 26:2) "Then God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Padan Aram, and blessed him". (Genesis 35:9). "Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity." (Exodus 24:9-10). "I have heard of You by the ear, but now my eye sees You." (Job 42:5) I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said: ‘Strike the doorspost, that the threshold may shake.." (Amos 9:1). 5 . Can anyone see God’s face and live or perish? Exodus 33:20 Versus Genesis 32:30; Exodus 323:11; Numbers 12:6-8 "But He said, ‘You cannot see my Face; for no man shall see Me, and live." (Exodus 33:20) There were Prophets who had seen God’s face and lived as narrated below: "And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: ‘For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved". (Genesis 3:30) "So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle." (Exodus 33:11) "then He Shaid, ‘Hear now My words: ‘If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision and I speak to him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My house. I speak with him face to face, even plainly, and not in a dark sayings; and sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?" (Numbers 12:6-8). 6. Does God make lies or not? Titus 1:1; Hebrews 6:18 Versus Kings 22:22-23; Judges 9:23 "in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began." (Titus 1:1) "… two immutable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us." (Hebrews 6:18). The following Biblical verses narrate that God created lies: "The LORD said to him, ‘In what way?" So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets, ‘And He said. ‘You shall persued him, and also prevail. Go out and do so. Now therefore, look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth if ask these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you, "(1 Kings 22:22:23). "God sent a spirit of ill will between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech," (Judge 9:23) 7. Are all the commandments or words of God pure or not all pure? Psalm 19:8; Proverbs 30;5 Versus Hosea 1:2; Hosea 3;1 "The Statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;" (Psalm 19:8). "Every word of God is pure; he is a shield to those who put their trust in Him." (Proverbs 30:5). God’s words are not all pure as narrated in the following Biblical verses: "When the LORD began to speak by Hosea, the LORD said to Hosea: ‘Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry by departing from the LORD." (Hosea 1:2). "Then the LORD said to me, ‘Go again, love a woman who is loved by a lover and is committing adultery, just like the love of the LORD for the children of Israel, who look to other gods and love the raisin cakes of the pagan." (Hosea 3:1). 8. Is God omnipresent or not? Job 34:21-22; Hebrews 4:13 Versus Genesis 3:8, 11:5, 18:23 "For His eyes are on the ways of man, and He sees all his steps. There is no darkness not shadow of death where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves." (Job 34:21-22). "And therein no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." (Hebrews 4:13). God is not omnipresent as narrated in the Bible, to wit: "And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among trees of the garden." (Genesis 3:8) "But the Lord came down and see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built." (Genesis 11:5) I will go down now see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know." (Genesis 18:23) 9. Is God all-powerful or not at all? Jeremiah 32:17 Versus Judges 1:19; Malachi 3:8-9 "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstreched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. (Jeremiah 32:17). The Bible portrays as one who is not all-power at all times as evidenced below: "So the LORD was with Judah. And they drove out the inhabitants of the mountains, but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the lowland, because they had chariots of iron." (Judgeds 1:19) "Will a man rob God? Yet you robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation." (Malachi :8-9) 10. Does God have the power to help always or not? 2 Chronicles 25:8 Versus Judges 1:19 "But if you god, be gone! Be strong in battle! Even so, God shall make you fall before the enemy; for God has power to help and to overthrow." (2 Crhonicles 25:8). The Bible shows that God has no power to help always, to wit: "So the LORD was with Judah. And they drove out the inhabitants of the mountains, but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the lowland, because they had chariots of iron." (Judges 1:19) 11. Does God repent or never repent? Numbers 23:19 Versus Genesis 6:6-7 "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent." (Numbers 23:19) The Bible narrates that God did repent, to quote: "And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So that LORD said, ‘I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." (Genesis 6:6-7). 12. Is God changeable or not? Malachi 3:6 Versus Exodus 33:1,3,14,17; 1 Samuel 2:30-31; Jonah 3:10 "For I am the Lord, I dot change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob." (Malachi 3:6). "Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ …’Go up to a land following with milk and honey; for I will not go upin your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for your are a stiff-necked people.’…And He said,’ My Presence will go with you, and will give you rest. ’..Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name." (Exodus 33:1,3,14,17). "Therefýore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house of your father would walk before Me forever’; but now, the LORD says: ‘Far it from Me; for those who honor \Me I will honor, and those who depise Me shall be lightly esteemed. Behold, the days are coming that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s house, so t hat there will not be an old man in your house." (Samuel 2:30-31) "Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it." (Jonah 3:10) 13. Does God know what is in the hearts of men or does He still have to know it? Acts 2:19 Versus Deuteronomy 8:2 "And they prayed and said, ‘You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen." (Acts 2:19) The Bible says God has still to know what is in the hearts of men: "And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wildness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heat, whether you would keep His commandments or not." (Deuteronomy 8:2). 14. Is God a prince of peace or man of war? Isaiah 9:6 Versus Exodus 15:3 "And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6). The Bible clearly asserts that is a "man of war": "The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name." (Exodus 15:3). 15. IS God peaceful or far from peaceful? Romans 15:33; 1 Corinthians 14:33 Versus Psalm 144:1 Exodus 15:3 "Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen." (Romans 15:33) "For God is not the author of confusions but of peace, as in all the churces of the saint." (1 Corinthians 14:33) The Bible stresses that God is far from peaceful: "Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who is strains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle - "(Psalm 144:1). "The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name." (Exodus 15:3). 16. Could God be man? Job 9:32; Hosea 11:10; Numbers 23:19 Versus Exodus 15:3 "For He is not a man, as I am, that I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together." (Job 9:32) "I will not execute the fierceness of My anger; I will not again destroy Ephaim. For I am God, and not man, the Holy lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent." (Numbers 23:19). The Bible says that God is man: "The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is His name." (Exodus 15:3). 17. Does Holiness pertain to God alone or not? Revelation 15:4 Versus Exodus 19:6; Leviticus 11:44; Psalm 86:2; Isaiah 6:13 "Who shall not fear You, O Lord and glorify Your name? For Your alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, for your judgements have been manifested." (Revelation 15:4). Holiness does not pertain to God alone as quoted in the following in the following Biblical verse: "And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priest and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel." (Exodus 19:6) "For I am the LORD your God. You shall therefore sanctify yourselves, ad you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth." (Leviticus 11:44). "Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; save Your servant who trust in You!" (Psalm 86:2). "So the holy seed shall be its stump." (Isaiah 6:13) 18. Is the work of God perfect or very far from perfect? Deuteronomy 32:4 Versus Job 15:14-16 "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He." (Deuteronomy 32:4). The Bible shows that God’s work is very far from perfect: "What is man, that he could be pure? And he who is born of a woman, that he could be righteous? If God puts no trust in His saint, and the heavens are not pure in His sight, how much less man, who is abominable and filthy, who drinks iniquity like water!" (Job 15:14-16) 19. Does God forgives sins or not? 2 Chronicles 7:14; Daniel 9:9; Mark 2:7 Versus Isaiah 1:15 "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and prayer and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14) "To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have revelled against Him." (Daniel 9:9). "Who can forgive sins but God alone?" (Mark 2:7) God is not forgiving according to this Biblical narration: "When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood." (Isaiah 1:15). 20. Could anyone temp God or not? James 1:13 Versus Exodus 17:2; Deuteronomy 6:16 "Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am tempted by God’; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He himself tempt anyone." (James 1:13) The following Biblical verses state that God could be tempted: "And Moses said to them, ‘Why you contend with me? Why you temp the LORD?" "You shall not temp the LORD your God as you tempted Him in Massah." (deuteronomy 6:16) 21. Is God Just or unfair? Ezekiel 18:29; Acts 3:14; Revelation 14:4 Versus Matthew 13:12 "Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which fair, and your ways which are not fair?" (Ezekiel 18:29) "But you denied the Holy one and the Just, and asked for a murderer to granted to you," (Acts 3:14) Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!" (Revelation 14:4) The Bible narrates that God is not a just, to wit: "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him." (Matthew 13:12) 22. Is God merciful that He is near to all who call upon Him or Hides Himself in times of troubles? Deuteronomy 4:7; Psalm 145:18 Versus Psalm 10:1; Psalm 22:1 "For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the LORD our GOD is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?" (Deuteronomy 4:7) "The LORD is near to call who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth." (Psalm 145:18) The following Bibilical narrations show that God is not merciful to all who call upon Him: "My God, My God, why You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning?"(Psalm 22:1, also see Mark 15:34) "Why do stand afar off O LORD? Why fo You hide yourself in times of trouble?" (Psalm 10:1) 23. Does God fulfill the need of those who fear and love Him (including Jesus Christ) or fulfill the sinner’s med? Psalm 7:10-11; Psalm 145:19-20; Proverbs 10:3; 1 John 3:22; Versus Matthew 27:46; Romans 5:8 My defense is of God, who saves the upright in heart. God is a just judge, and God is angry with are wicked every day." (Psalm 7:10-11). "He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The LORD preserves all who love Him but wicked He will destroy." (Psalm 145:19-20) The LORD will not allow the righteous soul to famish, But He cast away the desire of the wicked." (Proverbs 10:3) "And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight." (1 John 3:22). God does not fulfill the need of those who fear and love Him (including Jesus Christ) but fulfill the sinners’s need: "and about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Eli, Eli lama sabachthani?’ That is, ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" ( Matthew 27:46) "But God demonstrate His own towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) If the Bible is the Book of God or that if God did inspire the authors of the Bible how could He allow such misconception about Him? Is it not blasphemy to belittle or say something contrary to the nature of God? All the discrepancies in the different parts and verses of the Bible that confuse all sensible readers clearly prove that, it is not the Book of God. Allah, the One and Only God is, therefore, not the Author of confusion - i.e. the Bible. GOD(Allah): The author of the HOLY QUR’AN: For the guidance of those who truly seek the Truth and Divine Teachings, they should read the Holy Qur’an. Nowhere could anyone find any inconsistency in the Holy Qur’an for verily, the Holy Qur’an is the Truth from Allah (Al Sajdah 32:3). No man has ever revised it because, it bears no discrepancy and no crookedness therein. In order words, it is consistent with itself. This what Allah, its author, emphasizes in the following verses: "Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care)? Had it not been from other than God, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy. (Al-Nisa 4:82) "Praise be to Allah, Who hath set to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness." (Al Kahf 18:1). "Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects). The skin of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do often to the celebration of Allah’s praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He please, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide." (Al Zumar 39:23). The Holy Qur’an, therefore, speaks for itself. It bears no discrepancy nor crookedness. It is consistent itself. Any reader can verify it and see for himself the undisputed wisdom of the Holy Qur’an. It is because no one canever challenge the Author of the Holy Qur’an. He is Allah, the All-Knowing (Al Baqara 2:115). He made His Book consistent and also testifies it as such for guidance. This, we should believe, because fourteen centuries ago since Allah revealaed the Holy Qur’an up to present, nobody has ever written about the Holy Qur’an s |

Why then is there such a discrepancy in the treatment received by the people of different Islamic states?
Who is confused in their understanding; the Crimean Tartars or the Taliban from Afghanistan? (Please Skinner no lecture on the Taliban) I've seen African Muslims claiming that the Qur’an s tells them to circumcise women! Are these people not confused? Does the Qur’an s not state that all people should dress with modesty? Then why is this only evidenced by women. Take Care Vlas |

Qur'anic Contradictions
Chapter Eleven
The Contradictions of the Qur’an Christian orientalist researchers allude to dozens of Qur’anic contradictions. They indicate that there are many contradictory verses in the Qur’an. Maybe they are right. Yet, here we are going to examine only a few of these contradictions mentioned by these orientalists, mainly because we would like to quote Muslim scholars, as we agreed upon at the beginning of the book. It is sufficient that these Muslim scholars acknowledge the existence of these contradictions even though they attempted to justify them. Their justifications proved to be feeble, as the reader will soon discover Also, they completely ignored some other contradictions. However, concerning the contradictions to which they produced some sensible justifications, we will accept what they offer since we are bound to recognize their interpretations of the Qur’an. Still, we believe that the refutations of the Orientalist researchers are more convincing in many cases. Never-the-less, we will continue to employ the same strategy we have been applying since the beginning of this study. We will cite Muslim scholars and refer the reader to their views. The First Contradiction In several verses the Qur’an indicates that it was revealed in the Arabic tongue; that is, in the Arabic language (refer to 14:4; 29:192-195; 13:37; 42 7; 39:28, and 43:3). Yet, in at least two plain verses, the Qur’an commands the deletion of any dialect other than the Arabic language in the Qur’anic text (16:103; 41:44). In his book, "The Itqan" (part 2, p. 105), the Suyuti tells us that many scholars (among them the Shafi’i, ibn Jarir al-Tabari) Their claim is based on these verses. In his book, "al-Risala", edited by Ahmad Shakir (p. 41), the Shafi’i says, "It is said, ‘What is the proof that the Book of God is in the Arabic language without being mixed with any (foreign words)?’ The proof is the Book of God itself." Then the Shafi’i quoted the above mentioned verses (16:103 and 41:44). The Shafi’i want to defend these verses but he is not able to ignore the facts which all Muslim scholars verify along with the companions and the legists such as ibn ’Abbas, Mujahid, ibn Jubayr, ’Akrama, and ’Ata. Also included in this group is the Suyuti as well as other scholars like Dr. Muhammad Rajab who expressed his views in "Solidarity" (al-Tadamun) magazine (April, 1989 issue). In his book, "The Itqan" (part 2, pp. 108-119), the Suyuti lists 118 non-Arabic words recorded in the Qur’an. Ibn ’Abbas, himself (along with other great Companions) asserts that some Qur’anic words are Persian, Ethiopian and Nabatean (p. 105). Dr. Bayyumi also confirms the Suyuti’s opinions and views. Faced with these contradictions what does the Suyuti say to justify them? He says in p. 106, "The existence of a few non-Arabic words does not make the Qur’an non-Arabic as the verses indicate." And we say to Suyuti: "We know that the Qur’an is an Arabic book, but the Qur’an denies that it contains non-Arabic words (refer to verses 16:103; 41:44). It is obvious that this is a contradiction, especially since there are about 118 non-Arabic words—not just five or ten words. The simple explanation for this contradiction is that Muhammad himself did not know that the origin of the words he employed in the Qur’an were non-Arabic. He was not aware that some of them were Persian, Ethiopian, Berber, Turkish and Nabatean; thus, he claimed that the entire Qur’an was revealed in pure Arabic language! The Second Contradiction In part 3, p. 83 of "The Itqan", the Suyuti designated many pages under the title, "What is Mistaken For a Contradiction in the Qur’an." He remarks that there is something in the Qur’an to which ibn ’Abbas stopped short of giving any answer. A man told him that one verse in the Qur’an mentions that the length of the day of resurrection is one thousand years and another verse says it is 50 thousand years (al-Sayda: 5 and al-Ma’arij: 4). Ibn ’Abbas said, "These are two days which God—may He be exalted—has mentioned in His book, and God knows best." This is an honest acknowledgment by ibn ’Abbas without any attempt of justification. When ibn Musayyib, one of the great companions, was asked about these two days and why they contradict each other, he said, "Ibn ’Abbas avoided talking about them and he is more knowledgeable than me." Yet we find some contemporary scholars who endeavor to justify this contradiction and claim that they are more knowledgeable than ibn ’Abbas! ! The Third Contradiction In the same part (p. 79), the Suyuti says that the Qur’an states in chapter 6:22-23 that in the day of judgment, infidels attempt to conceal some thing from God while in chapter 4:42 the Qur’an contradicts that and indicates that they do not conceal anything from God. The Suyuti tries to justify this contradiction by saying that ibn ’Abbas was asked about it and he answered that they conceal it by their tongues but their hands and their limbs admit it. Yet the question is still without answer because if their hands admit it in spite of themselves, it should not be said that they did not conceal any fact from God because they did try to hide, but their hands gave it away, as ibn ’Abbas says. The Fourth Contradiction In chapter, "al Waqiha," the Qur’an talks about those who are destined to enter paradise. It states in verses 13 and 14 that the majority will be from the nations who came before Muhammad and the minority will be from peoples who believed in Muhammad. But in the same chapter (verses 39 and 40), it is said that the majority will be from those people who came before and after Muhammad also. This is a contradiction in the same chapter. Verse 14 says, "... a few of those of later time", but in verse 40, the Qur’an says just the opposite, "... a multitude of those of later time." I have tried to limit this discussion by quoting the interpretations of these verses by Muslim scholars, but they never presented any clear cut justification for this obvious contradiction (refer to the commentary of the Baydawi, p. 710; Zamakh-Shari in his Kash-Shaf, part 4, p. 458; and the Jalalan, p. 453). All of them just say that "... the formers are the nations from Adam to Muhammad and the latters are the people of Muhammad." Thus, one time the Qur’an remarks, "A minority from others," then it says "a majority or multitude from others." This is an obvious contradiction observed by many and no one has found any refutation against it among Muslim scholars. The Fifth Contradiction Pertaining to marriages, it is clear that the Qur’an calls for the possibility of marrying four women at the same time. In Chapter 4:3, "But if ye fear that you shall not treat them fairly, then only one." But in Chapter 4:129, we read, "You will not be able to deal equally between your wives however much you wish to do so." In his book, "The Itqan", the Suyuti says, "In the first verse we understand that fairness is possible while in the second, we perceive that fairness is not possible" (Itqan, part 3, page 85). Actually, from the Qur’anic point of view as well as according to Muhammad and the rest of the Muslims, "fairness is possible" to be practiced by the evidence that they got (and still get) married to four women. Even Muhammad’s companions and his successors did so. Therefore, "fairness" seemed to be possible for them because it is not reasonable that all of them, including ’Umar, ’Ali, ’Uthman and Muhammad violated the Qur’anic teaching. Then why does the Qur’an say in chapter 4:129 that "fairness" is not possible? This is an obvious contradiction which Muslim scholars, among them the Suyuti, realized and comprehended. In order to solve the problem, the Suyuti argued, "The first verse (meant) fairness in regard to fulfilling the pledges while the second verse is related to the heart’s inclination and it is not within the ability of a man to be fair in this matter." The Jalalan (page 82) and Baydawi (page 130) agree with him. The Baydawi reiterates the same statement and adds, "Muhammad himself was fair with his women in the matter of human rights, but in the inclination of the heart, he used to say to God, ‘Forgive me in regard to that over which I have no control.’" Because Muhammad, according to all the scholars, favored A’isha over the rest and he did not harbor any inclination toward Sawda bint Zamea. The Zamakh-shari asserts Muhammad’s favoritism for A’isha and states that some people have interpreted the second verse to mean that you cannot be fair in love. Sheik Kashkak indicates in his book of "Opinions" (part 5, page 52), that some favoritism is permissible! Yet, the Zamakh-shari gives another significant opinion when he explicitly says in the Kash-shaf (part 1, pages 568 and 69), "God has relieved you of (implementing) complete fairness to that which you are able to carry out because it is obligatory to treat the women equally in dividing their portions, expenses and pledges and many other things hardly uncountable. It is something which is beyond (human) ability even if they all were beloved. How would the situation be if the heart inclined toward but some of them!" Then the Zamakh-shari indicated, "The second verse which indicated that you will not be able to be fair" could mean "to be fair in love" as in what happened to Muhammad and A’isha. Yet, we understand from Zamakh-Shari’s statement that "fairness" is not possible in division of portions, financial support, and pledges even if they were all beloved. How much harder it would be if the man’s heart was inclined to some of them more than others. He said what is really required is to abstain from being fully inclined toward one woman which would be conducive to neglecting the rest of them. Zamakh-Shari’s interpretation here is fully in congruence with the remainder of the verse. Muslim scholars cited Muhammad as an example, and the issue became more complicated, for what would happen to the poor wife if her husband devoted his love to another wife? She cannot object because, based on the Qur’anic text and by the example set by Muhammad, her husband is innocent of any wrongdoing. The Qur’an asserts that you cannot, from an emotional point-of-view, treat women justly, and Muhammad himself has rejected the request of his daughter, Fatima, to treat all his wives alike and not to bestow on A’isha, his favorite spouse, more than the rest of them. He expressed his favoritism publicly several times. He planned to divorce Sauda (one of his other wives). Some said he already did then he reinstated her when she agreed to relinquish her night for A’isha. What a pity for the Muslim women! Western orientalists also say that the Qur’an contradicts itself when it alludes to the creation of earth and heaven by saying on the one hand that heaven was created after the earth (many verses) then on the other hand, in one verse, it says the earth was created after the heavens. We have not used this but have attempted and continue to attempt to quote only the Muslim scholars such as Suyuti, Baydawi, Jalalan, and Zamakh-Shari, who endeavor to explain these verses to negate any contradiction against the proper usage of the language, such as by saying the word ‘after’ means ‘before’. Or, as we read in Sura 90:1, they said that God does not swear in the sacred land (that is, Mecca), then in Sura 95:3 we see Him swearing in Mecca the sacred land. The contradiction between these two verses is evident, yet the Suyuti (along with other scholars) denied that there is any contradiction because the word ‘no’ in Chapter 90 is redundant. It is not intended to negate but to affirm!! The Suyuti mentioned this issue among many others, under the title, "What Was Mistaken to be Contradiction." He summarizes the opinions of the scholars in response to this criticism by saying: "The people did not reject what you rejected because the Arabs may use ‘not’ in the context of their conversation and abolish its meaning." |

On the Qur'an
There is an extant work by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi (1876-1960) which is a 6000-page collection/commentary concentrated on proving the truths of Islam in conformity with modern science. Anyone seriously interested in the veracity of the claims made by Islam would do well to purchase the books. At one time there were twelve volumes which cost several hundred dollars. I don't know the current price.

Kazanova3 - you write reems and reems of copied text - and then - when questioned by those with equal or greater communicative skills - invite them to surf other web pages for the correct, or further answers. Does this mean you accept your failure ?? I doubt it.
I have read what you say and you show a clear case of being able to read the words, but not understand the actual subject matter. Some of your instances of so-called 'bible contradiction' are laughable, because your eyes are closed to the ACTUAL truths of God. NOW: I know that I will never pursuade you (ony God can do that) - and you will certainly never shift me in my total belief in the validity of the Bible as God's only Spirit-breathed Word. So we will have to agree to disagree. I could counter your biblical accusations one-by-one, but it would serve no purpose, as you would read the words - but miss the meaning. We will both meet our God one day - and how He will deal with this situation is entirely up to Him to decide in His absolute righteousness. In the meantime I strive not to follow vain argument, but to live with Him and for Him and to Him be all the praise and the glory. ANDREW |
