ETERNAL SECURITY???

CAN WE HAVE ETERNAL SECURITY? THE ANSWER IS

YES! We can know for sure where we will spend eternity. John

wrote "These things have I written unto you that believe on

the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have

eternal life...." But the key is believing! We after that we

have trusted in Jesus, can know that we have eternal life,

and that we who are in Christ will never, never, never,

perish, but rather have LIFE ETERNAL.

It is assumed on my part that this organization has security guards for hire. I should like to employ some for round the clock duty. Would you please send me the phone number, fax number, or email address that will put me in contact with these people. Question: are you sure it in not a scam?

Eternal security is knowing 100% sure that you have eternal life. And the only way you can know for sure that you have eternal life is if you are born again, according to the Bible. Jesus said in John3:3, Jesus answered ans said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Eternal security is the most valuable thing you could ever have. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you are going to heaven no matter what happens. This assurance is not gained by works, but by faith in Jesus. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Eph.2:8-9).

Jesus speaks again about eternal security in John10:26-29. This scripture is probably the most clear and obvious passage in the Bible that speaks about eternal secureity. Here it is, "But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and NO MAN is able to pluck them out of my fathers hand." You can see exactly how that if you do not believe in him, you are not of his sheep. And that by believing you are. And then he says that those who are his sheep he gives eternal life and they shall never perish, which means that they shall never go to hell or the lake of fire and spend eternity there. He goes on further to say that his sheep are in his hand and also his father's hand and that no man , including yourself(a man), will be able to pluck them out of his and his father's hand.

This is the king of God we have that he wants us to have a surety and confidence in our lives about the eternal destinies of our souls.To me, that is the most precious thing God could do for mankind. When we come to see this in our own lives, and become one of Christ's sheep, we will count our eternal security as the most important and wonderful thing we could have ever been given fro God.

DanielH, that was a good explanation of eternal security, and I agrre with all that was said. If you don't
know yet I am Fundamental Baptist, or as Nonson would put it
a (Fudie). I'm glad another christian is on board, you'll enjoy disscussing on this board. Thanks for responding to my subject.

The interesting thing is that Jesus Christ came to show us how God stands the values of this world on their respective heads! Someone is going to say "sheep are stupid and weak - so who wants to be a sheep ??" , when believers know that the only way to God is through 'The Good Shepherd', to gain eternal life, you must hand over this temperal life, to gain eternal riches, you must be willing to be poor (in the world's eyes) and to be strong, you must forget your own pride and selfish ambitions and take on God's strength. Our fight is against principalities and dark powers - things that are either not acknowledged by the world, or alternatively actively followed by some.

Like the Apostle Paul "I KNOW IN WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED" and I have tried to explain the concept of 'faith' on many occasions - with an apparent lack of success. However, blind eyes can only be opened by Holy Spirit - and so to pray for wisdom in words, on a foundation of prayer would seem to be the believer's best way forward.

I have just started reading a book called 'Jesusfreaks' - telling of those who have been persecuted (some to death) because of their faith. I don't like the term 'J-f', but if the guys in this book are sheep, then I want to join the flock. If these guys are loosers, then I am willing to loose all, in order to gain Christ.

In fact that's what I did m.a.n.y, m.a.n.y years ago - and NEVER regretted it.

I also totally agree with all that DanielH wrote andrewblow, and am GLAD to see that you like me and DanielH believe in eternal security. That is one belief I hold very dearly to me, and no Pentecostal, or Methodist, or any other person who beleives that one can loose the prescious gift of God will ever convince me to believe such.

Back a while, when you were being tested by Nonson, I would like to say, I think you did fairly well "contending for the faith". One with his eyes so blinded by the devil, could only have them opened to see the truth with the touch of the Holy Ghost, but sadly, for some that he has already touched, they unfortunetly have said clearly to the Spirit, "NO, NO, I DON'T WANT TO BE SAVED, THAT'S FOR OTHERS, BUT FOR ME, WELL I LIKE MY SINS, AND I WON'T GIVE THEM UP" and, well by that time there's not much hope left. A story regarding this, I will tell you.

My father when he was little, and growing up in Swedan one day heard a relative EXCLAIMING WITH JOY something "great" that had happened to him. He said to others on that day with my father present, "you know that thing that was bothering me, telling me to except Christ and become a christian, IT'S NOT BOTHERING ME ANYMORE, I TOLD IT TO LEAVE ME ALONE AND GET AWAY, I DON'T WANT CHRIST, and then IT(the Holu Spirit) LEFT ME ALONE". That man I could bet is in torment right now, because he was maybe touched by the Spirit, but instead of excepting Him, he said "leave me alone" and that is exactlly what He did.
