As I worship at the temple of Villa, I think this is fundamentally the most important question of faith in 20th century.
Did Hurst's shot cross the line? Was the Russian lines man correct, or was he just remembering Stalingrad. Was Muller offside? Didn't he handle the ball and what more he was certainly leg before wicket! Was Bobby Charltan's comb-over acting on it's own? Was it controlled be a higher power? Did this give him an unfair advantage? Who nicked the match ball that belonged to Hurst? Was it an act of retribution or did one of the Hun just bugger off with it? Why has Bobby Moore not been canonized and made a righteous person? -THE DE-MISTER |

I am reliably informed that the goalposts were capable of minor computerised adjustment in both direction, but only the English knew the password. It was also clear that for the forth English goal, the Hun lost some studs, thereby reducing his accelerative powers and releasing Hurst to score so easily.
But Shevster, why are you worshipping at the temple of Villa, when all true believers travel to White Hart Lane to sing praises ? |

Heathens. Heretics. Pagan worshippers. Blasphemers of the Spirit. You shall all die in your ungodliness. ERROR. ERROR. ERROR. The NFL is the only religion, and it is only the believers in its doctrines who are the true children of all the gods. All the rest of you are but demons, worshippers of Baal, ever kissing the anus of this ghastly creature. Woe unto all you sinners. None, I repeat, none of you shall receive the heavenly pass to the SUPER BOWL. -THE DESTROYER-
