Regarding the issue of the Bible being divinely inspired and inerrant, the Book of Acts doesn't portray it as such, and is not able to keep its own record straight. There are three contradictory accounts of Paul's conversion in this Book alone. Looking at Acts 9:7: after seeing Saul fall to the ground the men with him stood speechless, hearing the voice, but seeing no one (And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man). Yet Acts 22:9 says those with Saul did not hear a voice, but saw a light (And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me). And according to Acts 26:14 the men with Saul were not standing speechless, but had fallen down! (And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?). In Acts 9:3-6: And as he journeyed, he came near Damacus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul,Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what will thou have me do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.). But according to Acts 26:14-20 Paul is told what he is to do before he even enters Damascus. _____________________________________________ The preceeding is but three of thousands of asinine and even insane contradictions found throughout the bible. It is hopeful that in the coming weeks I shall be able to post several hundred of the more obvious errors found there. It takes time for me to dig them out of the archives which has thousands of entries, and I'm not the greatest at filing things under a proper heading. But I will get to them, and will present for the edification of all as to what Christianity and Judaism is about based on their error-filled tomes. -THE DESTROYER-
