Hard Questions
By Peter Murphy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following are contradictions taken from the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. So far no fundie has provided a real answer all they do is snip and pretend in their diseased minds and souls and claim they have already resolved the proof that the bible is errant, and uninspired. With failing like this, no one in their right mind would believe their accounts of miracles, or words spoken by Jesus. They are without credibility, and the bible without authority. 1) Where did Jesus part from the disciples: -- a mountain in Galilee? -- a house in Jerusalem? [not in Galilee] -- Bethany? [not in Galilee or Jerusalem] -- a beach on the sea of Galilee? [not a mountain, not in Jerusalem, and not in Bethany] 2) How many women were spoken to at the tomb by the angel(s), or man(men): -- 2? -- 2? -- 3? -- 1? 3) Who did the woman, or women, speak to at the tomb: -- 1 angel? -- 1 man? -- 2 men? -- 2 angels? 4) What color was Jesus' robe: -- scarlet? -- purple? -- multicolored? -- purple? 5) Who put the robe on Jesus: -- Romans? -- Romans? -- King Herod? -- Romans? Peace, Peter M. "If four men are eye-witnesses and ear-witnesses to a scene, they will, without concert between them, agree as to time and place, when and where that scene happened. Their individual knowledge of the thing, the one will not say it was in a mountain in the country, and the other at a house in town: the one will not say it was at sunrise, and the other that it was dark. For in whatever place it was, at whatever time it was, they know it equally alike." -- Thoams Paine, The Age of Reason -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
