Any sufficiently advanced technology is viewed as magic by a less advanced society.
Imagine the world 2000 years ago (especially Judea). The bulk of the population were uneducated sheep herders and peasants. Superstition is rampant. Imagine, also, that these people are visited by extraterrestrials. Is it so hard to believe then that these people would view these visitors as angels or divine beings? If I go back in time with a flashlight and a book of matches, would I also not be considered divine? After all, I have a piece of the sun in a plastic tube and I can make fire seemingly out of nowhere. What then if I bring a gun and am able to kill at a distance by pointing a hand? ------------------ "Free your mind and the rest will follow..." -En Vogue |

Garthnader, you are bringing out ideas which no one of Paulinistic Christianity wishes to deal with from a religious viewpoint. In fact, they can't handle such ideas because of such thinking being seen as heresy. We may as well face the fact that followers of Christianity are just not idea people. Peace
