Greetings BenCa,
A lie is a lie wether it is told knowingly that it is lie or not knowingly. Those of you who believe what you believe because you believe need to be carefull. Your dependence on religion causes you to go around witnessing and propagating what are lies, clearly. The are lies based on ancient myths. Still, they are lies. Shame on you. |

Bill, not all of what you believe to be myth is that at all. Some of these so-called myths are made to seem fantastic for the express purpose of hiding truth from the unworthy. Of course, there are those beliefs that are nothing more than fantasy, but it is unwise to discount them all based on the fact that many are obviously not touching truth. _____________________________________________ I will make a further confession. A greater portion of the Bible is a deliberate creation based on what we today call fantasy. It is very fortunate that ancient thinkers had the foresight to do this. For the truths that are hidden are far too powerful to be in the hands of fools. _____________________________________________ Bill, there are/were literally hundreds of thousands of myths abroad in the ancient world. Why do you think that only a handful survived for thousands of years while the others simply disappeared, for all intents and purposes? Peace

BenCa, a lie (falsehodd, untruth) is that which does not fit into the structure of one's mental makeup. Example: in certain primitive societies eating your enemy's heart is considered 'good'. That 'good'is a truth for that society. However, we in the West consider the eating of a human an 'evil'. That 'evil' act is not a truth for Western socities. It is a 'lie'. Plain and simple, my truth is not always your truth. That's the way the world works. Peace

The Lord shall not spare him, but the anger of the Lord and his jealousy shall smoke against this man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the Lord shall blot out his name from under the heaven. Deut 29:20
