because GOD loves us ..he warns us to make our peace with him through JESUS...you cannot say i want GOD to love me and be my FRIEND ..but i do NOT want JESUS to be my LORD ..instead of refering to anybody ELSE i will refer to MYSELF... let us say BRIAN loves GOD and put his trust in him ..BUT does not love JESUS and does NOT put his trust in him to be his LINK with GOD..well then BRIAN is trying to form a relationship with GOD on his terms and in a way that suits HIM and not in the way that GOD has ordained..will GOD form a union of love and friendship with BRIAN whilst OMMITING his SON ? .and the answer is NO ! ...BRIAN
