Nope never seen those photos before. The one they found was made of wood and was small compared to description in the bible. The base was the only thing left and is in a museum.
Probably isn't the real ark. V-G if there was an ark it is most likely detiorated and rotted away. you have to agree with me there, archeologists have a hard time unburing the base of a roman camp and that is closer in years than the ark. There is no way to tell if what they found (in the museum) was during that period because carbon dating is unreliable. The only support is the stone anchors and the eyewitness account of tsarist army expedition in 1917 which was verified, 1916 one was not and was found 95 % false. Quote:
I doubt it.

It seems that I don't have enough time for a nice and proper length response to Michael, so I will just address another issue briefly - ice age.
I won't want to start a "crap hit the fan" argument here but even with all our evidence for temperature fluctuations are we sure we have a large enough sample size (years wise)? What do I mean? I mean the Earth is old, very old... And when did we start taking measurements of our temperatures? Not that long ago, as a result, even if we are facing Ice Age or Global Warming, how do we know it isn't just a natural stage of our planet's life? Better yet, if we compare our samples and their age spread (in years) to our planet's age it would likely be statistically insignificant. Yes, I said it. But I am not a scientist, just using basic statistics knowledge and a bit of logic here. We have no clue when or even how severe the effect of these things will hit our planet. It may not be for another 10,000 years (compared to the age of our planet it is less than a second of our life, not really that big a deal, right?). -------- Lemko, alternatively you could just say that the reason why we have no evidence of the Ark is because it doesn't exist. Can you dig up some proof for me? Speculation about some imprint just won't go very far, I am sure Christians will do EVERYTHING in their power to "find it" and the fact that we haven't yet should tell you something. That something is that it never existed . |

Alright i can agree that maybe ice ages are a natural thing that occurs usually without warning, I don't believe in global warming, i know carbon emmissions are bad, but i believe the earth always heals itself eventually.
------------------------------- Volodya, Also the ark of the covenant has never been seen either. Ethiopia claims to have it. Ark rests in a chapel in the small town of Aksum. The guardian seems to develop cataracts and dies within two years of guarding it. There was guy who asked what was inside the Ark, the guardian replied look into my eyes, (he had cataracts) (pause) The guardian said it is fire. but, i still stand by the fact that maybe the Noah's ARK desintigrated due to weather and age and will never be found. ![]()

V-G,
I know what you mean about nothing proven thing. It's hard sometimes to believe in something that there is no evidence but books. It surprices me sometimes that God would not want to show himself to us. Once. But I guess thats all part of belief. About Big Bang. It does have some evidence. Science is not always the enemy. After all, if you believe in God, then God created science alswell. |

Stepan, I hope that your curiosity about God not revealing himself to us will lead you to the right conclusion - that is there is no God. One can't show himself is he doesn't exist. You said it yourself "evidence based on books", that is not evidence

Volodya,
I have a question. Do you hate God? ![]()
