Wonderful Substances

If God created everything, then he must have created all the wonderful substances that some people choose to use (and some abuse).

Therefore, if God placed this bounty on earth how can it be wrong to use it? We make bear wine and spirits from other parts of Gods creation and that's not wrong.

Greetings,
What ticks me off is ATROPHY. The faithful
tell us that SEX is dirty and we should only engage in it for reproduction. Otherwise, abstain, abstain, abstain or you will rot in HELL. Yet, in order for our organs to function properly, the muscles that make up the organ, must be in good shape and as such they require activity. I am confused. If I follow the teachings of the FAITHFUL, ATROPHY sets in and my organ will be off key. If I keep my organ in proper working condition, I will go to Hell for sure. What to do, what to do.

Stepan - I know you're not stupid, so you have GOT to be just winding this one up! God gave us uranium - but He didn't ask us to make a bomb!

God gave us - probably more than anything else - wisdom and understanding - to follow a path of love and respect to ourselves and others. If this course of action is not taken, someone's goin' to get hurt for sure.
....and that is the way many people want to play it -
but don't blame God - He makes His point clear both in text and through our own personal experiences.

It is truly said that we learn MOST from our mistakes....and watching others.....but don't blame God!

You did not enlighten us about the Atrophy
thing. I am confused. For this topic only, let's say that God created us. (I do not believe I am saying this.) Further the Bible is Gods word. Don't you see the conflict?
God gives us our sex organs made up of various muscles. Using the teachings from the Bible we are told that we should abstain
abstain, and abstain again. Sex is dirty, etc. etc. This is where it gets complicated. God turns around and punishes the faithful
by going Bam, Bam, you got atrophy of the muscles. Before you know it, the organ is off key and it becomes difficult to play .
Luckily, men found the cure for such an EVIL
act, VIAGRA. What God screws up, MEN fixes.
You probably see it different.

You're at it again (got to chuckle......)
1) Who mentioned 'sex'? It wasn't Stepan - he mentioned 'substances', so where does sex fit in ??
2) My equipment gets good mileage - but within the context of marriage - I'm sure it's the same for you - so what is your fundamental problem here, or do I take it you are merely hypothesising?
3) God does not have a problem with sex. He made it (probably) the greatest gift to all aspects of His creation - to be used by animals by their nature and mankind (made in His image) within marriage. Sure- you can play outside the rules, but you simply run the risk of paying the additional fees.
4) And don't give me that 'atrophy' stuff !! Please Bill, check with a doctor - honest, it won't fall off !! Your heart is known not to get 'tired' simply by working all the time. In reverse, your appendage does not atrophy by lack of use. I can clearly remember my school-boy beliefs that a girl only had small breasts because she wouldn't let the boys..errm......MORE codswallop!
