I have a big question concerning fate. Who here belves in fate, and why. Do those who believe or do not believe in fate believe in God?
I don't, and here is why: God is supposivly omnipotent (sp) am I not correct, therefor he knows what is going to happen in the future, for he already told it in Revolations. Therefore there is nothing we can do that we are not fated to do because God knows we are going to do it before we do it anyways. So basically if God does exist then we are just puppets, and have no real freedom because fate binds us. I don't know if that made sense or not to anyone, its late, and I'm tired. I'll rewrite it alter if it doesn't make sense. But I would like to know what you all think. But thats one of the main reasons behind me not believing that a God exists. -Edge ------------------ "You cannot have life without death, you cannot have love without hate, and you cannot have happiness without sorrow." |

Sorry for the last babbel:
Okay since God suposivly knows everything, even what is going to happen (take revelations for example) then there is nothing that we can do to change what is going to happen, therefore fate would exist if God exists. Thats one of the reasons that I do not believe in God. Better? -Edge "tsactuo" ------------------ "You cannot have life without death, you cannot have love without hate, and you cannot have happiness without sorrow." |

salam EDGE. I see where you're going. The problem now is to define the terms 'god' and 'fate'. I really don't believe the two belong in the same theological universe. Peace

Greetings,
I do believe in God. But I believe in fate differently. I think we are all free to do whatever we want to do, but still God's know's that we are going to do it. He knows it before us. But one doesn't hurt another. You can do anything you want no matter if God knows it or not. Peace and good-luck, Stasik |

Hi guys, I believe in God but I also belive in karma. One has a freedom of choice, good, bad, indifference, but all actions have consequences. (eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth) You come into this life to live your karma, which by free will can change future karma. It is why sometimes that the bad do well and the good fair bad, past lifes and karma to be "burned off". God controls ALL, but has given us free will waiting for us to choose Him, to choose Love. Until we do, it's back again and again to live our karma, our fate. Once we choose to "know" Him in our heart, our life, then all we do we do for Him and don't accumulate more karma and are free fromthis cycle of reincarnation. We then always dwell in Him. I hope this makes some sense. It is what I believe to be true. To me, it explains so much in life, unjustice,de ja vu, many things.
Thanks, peace and love |
