If one can change there mind about something especially when they already know everything they need to know about something or when one responds emtionally about something and not by action, is this proof of a soul? Do you believe we have a soul? If you do or do not, why?

HI DOBREY DEN
THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION, FIRST WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SOUL??? tHE WORD SOUL DERIVES FROM THE HEBREW WORD "NEPHESH" OR GREEK WORD "PSYKHE". THAT MEANS THAT WHEN ADAM WAS CREATED HE DID NOT HAVE A SOUL HE WAS A SOUL, GOD BREATHED INTO ADAM AND HE BECAME A LIVING SOUL, AND WHEN MAN DIES THE SOUL IS DEAD JUST AS YOU TURN ELECTRIC OFF THE LIGHT WILL GO OUT. |

I Woroniuk, greetings. Your attempted explanation is interesting, but quite incorrect. _____________________________________________ Adam's soul was 'neshamah klalit' and not 'nephesh' as you claim. Nephesh is the sustainer of physical and corporeal life. A more telling idea is that Eve and the rest of mankind has neshamot. Essentially two souls. _____________________________________________ Adam's soul and God's soul are ONE, Perfect, and Eternal. There is no death.

To answer topics-question, - indeed i do believe in soul, which is eternal and will never die, but only go on.
I Woroniuk, why are you limited by earth? Adam and his wife are in heaven. (Although I have no knowledge of my or any other religion.) |

IWORONIUK...I believe what Mr. Nonson is refering to is the eternal ascept of the soul...the spirit, whih is suppose to sustain life...the physical..which is eternal. Maybe you are talking a soul being the interaction of spirit and physical being.. Then, when the physical dies, part of the soul dies , by your definition. Mr. Nonson is refering to simply the non-material essence of the soul....which is the spirit. So, yes, the question is how do define a soul. Is it simply the inmaterial aspect of a man giving free will or is it the interaction of to things...physical and spirit? Interesting question.

salam to all. Though it is getting away from the original question, man is a physical and spiritual being. He has no control over anything other than a free will in making moral judgments. _____________________________________________ The judgments he makes and the action he takes on the decisions literally feeds either the animal spirit or the G-d spirit. These are some very testy theological views, and they can become difficult to understand without being educated in the matter. _____________________________________________ Defining soul is no more possible than defining word-a thing philosophers and word-merchants have tried to do for centuries. _____________________________________________ Both the animal spirit and the G-d spirit are undying. Peace
