Hello all! I am responding to some posts I have read from the last few days from steven and others. I am studying to be a missionary, so this subject is very important to me! #1. There is a God. This is not an opinion this is a fact. #2. Being that there is a God doesn't anyone feel that they should at least seek Him out to learn what He wants.. I believe that the Holy Bible is the breathed word of God. It is the only "religious" book in the world that claims that it's contents are delivered straight from God through the influence of great men of God by God. Many people may dispute this, but I challenge anyone, and I say anyone, to find me a piece of literature or a person, that has predicted, more accurately, events which have taken place, are taking place, and are going to take place, than the Bible. Do not say Nostradomus because it has been proven that he used a ritual from Judaism (God's people's religion) called Cabalism, thereby giving the glory back to the God of the Bible. I will give an example, that has already taken place. Before the 1950's, Israel was not a nation and there was only Arabic people where Israel is today, but, prior to that time, good Christian preachers were talking about the fact that Israel will get her nation back and will take back Jeruselam. Noone believed them. They recieved most of this information from the book of Isaiah, chapter 11. Who was right? The preachers or the nay sayers. It is obvious. Furthermore, why have seashells been found on Mt. Everest, the highest point on Earth. I have three words to answer that: THE GREAT FLOOD. You may roll your eyes at this if you are an unbeliever, but I challenge you to present BETTER explainations.(Keyword:BETTER) I could site even more facts than this, concerning all areas of the Bible, but I am merely establishing it's credentials as someone who has read it. I am so sick of people forming opinions based upon what someone else has said about the Bible, when that person has not read it either! This is also to establish why I believe that the Christian faith is the ONLY faith in the world. I cannot believe what I believe and give credance to other "religions".If they can make the claims, even equal to what the Christian faith and her Bible can make, then I will give them their due attention, but I know that that will never happen.
I also here about people talking about being good enough to enter heaven. I am here to tell you that noone, including myself, can be good enough to enter heaven. It is impossible. The Bible says "There is none righteous, no not one.", it also says that "good works are but filthy rags to the Lord". Furthermore the Bible says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.". It then says that "the wages of sin is death" in speaking of the eternal hell, yes I can quote scripture that refers to hell as a very real punishment, and no there will not be any partying there, because as fullas it will be, those who are there will be completely and totally alone and they will be in a darkness that they have never known, not to mention the pain in which will have them begging to be brought back to this world and tortured without ceasing for the duration that was their life in order to have some relief. This latter part was harsh, I know, but I will not suger coat anything. I will say that the exact definition of pain in hell, that I used, is not based on scripture but I describe it that way because God is perfect and His punishment will be perfect as well. So it will make human punishments weak in comparison and hell was originally created for the devil and his angels. Now, if you are still with me, you might ask: If we cannot be good enough, then how do we get to heaven and avoid hell? John 3:16 my friend; "For God so loved the world (that's us) that He sent His only begotten Son (Jesus) that whosoever (anyone) believeth in Him should not perish (hell) but have everlasting life(heaven)". This is what Jesus came to Earth for. Through salvation ONLY can a person be sanctified in order to enter heaven. Jesus said, " I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by ME". It requires Jesus' blood to cleanse our sins so that we can enter into the physical presence of the Father. There is no other way, Jesus said it not me. If you are not saved then you cannot enter heaven and that is scriptural. With that I will begin my conclusion. If anyone has any serious questions about salvation, please post them, or any arguments as well. I welcome all challenges because, when you have the truth what can blemish it. Oh, and before I go, I would like to address the fact that evolution is a great big crock and lie! It violates multiple LAWS of science whereas creation predicts these laws! Feel free to discuss that one with me as well. I hope that I have helped some people and if I angered some people, you know what they say,the truth hurts. |

Hi, brother,
Andrew from England.............boy > you hit the road running !! I personally accept and believe everything you say - indeed I am going to Ukraine in 10 days time as speaker at a christian children's summer camp - but may I respectfully suggest that if you want a 'discussion', that you leave your pulpit and come in with a conversational tone !! There are some great guys and girls around here, but they don't react kindly to aggression......the coming days will tell ! Best regards, Andrew. |

Hey Andrew, how are you brother! Yes I understand what you are saying with concerns about my angle. My reasoning is this. I am trying to curtail the usual attacks that a witness recieves when in an open forum such as this. I don't feel that I would have to spend time dealing with the validity of God's word if I present those facts from the get go. As you well know, the Word of God is the whole strength of the Christian faith. As for my offer to discuss the concept of evolution versus creation, I may have come across a little bit hard, but I am sick of this fallacy being thrown up as if it were a proven fact or a Law. It is not and there is less evidence in its favor than creation. It is a peave of mine because the so-called educated cram it down the general publics throat as if evolution was the absolute truth. I know that I came across agressively on this issue, but that is how I stand. As far as the meat of my post, that was meant for witnessing purposes. If any of that sounded hardlined, I cannot help it. That is how the Bible says it. All have sinned, no exception (well other than Jesus), there is a place prepared for sin, which is hell, but there is a way, called Jesus, to avoid this demise and recieve the blessings of eternal life. It is pretty cut and dry. I understand that sometimes you must take a softer approach with certain people, but for the most part I have found that people can handle the Gospel in its purest form. It may be bitter going down, but I did not write it.
I appreciate your concern, brother, but I am a pretty straightforward person where God is concerned. This sometimes comes across as argumentative, but this probably is a result of me being fed up with these Churches in our country, who are negotiable with God's word. I don't mean to offend, but if that is what the Word of God does, then I can't help it. God said it, I believe it, that settles it. Again I do appreciate it , brother. And may God bless you in your speaking to the people of Ukraine. That is where I have been called as well. With Christian love. |

I'll stand with you there as far as FACTS are concerned. What I am trying to say is that - in my humble experience around here - your approach does not leave much room for 'discussion' - which is what this board is all about....or should be !!
Arguments, maybe - but we're not here for arguments. I'm not going to name any names, but I would be interested to see if you get any takers from the boards' usual members. Friend BILL O. I have had a checkup and been given a complete 'all-clear' regarding my health situation that you are aware of. Praise God. At least, that's what <I> am doing !!! For you - good luck and have a good summer. ANDREW. |

Andrew, I would like to know how you would approach the religious forum? This is a serious question on how you would discuss the subject of religion as a Christian. I will tell you, concerning my post, that everyone is free to either respond to it or not, it does not matter to me. I stand very hard on the issue of God and His Word. This is how I will always be on that subject. 2nd Timothy 2:15

Woah! Three on a string! Hey Andrew I would like to forward my apologies. I became a little defensive at the criticism. I know that you meant well. I have read another discussion topic and answered my own questions in the previous post.
My bullhead approach can be explained. I read a few of the recent posts and I became quite a bit offended by the secular approach to our faith or issues thereof and in certain points I may have been a little bit harsh. It seemed as if there was noone taking up the Christian side of the topics. I have a softer approach, believe me. I just became a little upset at what I read on some of these recent posts. I still stand on God's Word without apology and if that offends anyone that is not my problem. Again my sincereist apologies for my prevalant attitude towards you. I loved your posts in response to this B. Ungaro on the Christianity in Ukraine topic. It is sad that someone can have the truth put right in front of their eyes and still deny. We will all see the Truth one day. I just hope we are ready when He comes. Praise the Lord for you brother. Later |
