Hello Muhammad,
Yes Jesus was CRUCIFIED. He died for the sins of this world so that anyone who believes may not parish but have everlasting life with Allah. You see before Jesus was crucified man had to bring a sacrifice for his sins daily but Jesus was sacrificed and he redeemed US and his blood is still powerful today to wash away sins. May Allah Bless you! |

Hi GjesusM,
I do respect what you wrote, but if I ask you where does it say in the bible that he was, you probably won't be able to answer my question, but I do encourage you to review your answer about "If Jesus was Crucified", in all the four Gospels there is nowhere it says that he was crucified, take a look at this site and let me know if I am right or wrong: http://home2.swipnet.se/~w-20479/Debate.htm Good Luck my friend [This message has been edited by Muhammad (edited 20 May 2000).] |

Hello Muhammad,
I'm not sure you know the definition of the word CRUCIFY. CRUCIFY - to put to death by nailing or binding the hands and feet to a cross. If you want you can read the whole Chapter 15 of Mark. Mark 15:24 - And when they had CRUCIFIED him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. Mark 15:25 - And it was the third hour, and they CRUCIFIED him. This should answer your question. May Allah be with you. |

Dear Muhammad,
Firstly, let me state from the outset that I am a committed christian. You may like to check some other posts from last December to current date on the subject of 'religion' to see where I am coming from. Secondly, I will state clearly that - according to my understanding of Scripture - the Bible - God's Word - Jesus Christ was and is the living Son of God, my Saviour and "There is no other name given amoung men whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4 vs 12). Again, I say this to eliminate any chance of you thinking that I support a 'multi-faith' community, because although I respect any person who has 'faith' (and there are many great faiths in this world) - I honestly believe that only belief in GOD through Jesus Christ alone, as revealed to us by the HOLY SPIRIT of God, can lead to the personal relationship with God that He desires and we need. All this is a prelude to me trying to answer the question you first posted re: "was Jesus crucified". GjesusM gave you a perfectly correct and valid answer, but you come back with such a ludicrous retort that it may be impossible to have a valid discussion with you. If I quoted Matthew 27 (I quote where the actual name 'Jesus' is mentioned) vs 14 > 'and Jesus made no reply to his accusers', vs 22> 'what shall I do with Jesus', 'they said 'crucify him', vs 31> 'they led Jesus away to be crucified', vs 34> 'They offered Jesus wine to drink, but after he refused it THEY CRUCIFIED HIM', vs 37> 'above his head they placed a written charge "THIS IS JESUS - THE KING OF THE JEWS". VS 58/60> 'And Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for Jesus' body ...and he took it and placed it in his own tomb'. CHAPTER 28: vs. 5/6> "The angel said to the women 'Do not be afraid, I know that you are looking for Jesus WHO WAS CRUCIFIED, but he is not here HE HAS RISEN - just as he said'. vs 9> 'Suddenly Jesus met them 'Greetings' he said, etc., etc., etc. Please Muhammad, don't come back with answers like "that was somebody else", because - whether you accept the christian bible, or not - the text is totally clear and plain as to what is meant here. I quite by chance hit <SWEDEN.COM> just to see what other Countries are doing - and I find you very active there as well. That's fine - I believe in full freedom of speech, but please let us have a valid discussion - especially for those who may not have the privilege of a bible in front of them. Regards, ANDREW. |
