Cain's wife was his sister. Back then they didn't have laws from God, not until Abraham.

I see somebody is having the same problem as I once had here...Right, who said it was his sister? I would say it was the mother.

Gen. 3:20---'Adam called his wife's name Eve, because she had to become the mother of everyone living." So all the humans were to be the offspring of Adam and Eve.
Gen. 5:3,4 "Adam lived on for a hundred and thirty years. Then he became father to a son in his likeness, in his image, and called him Seth. And the days of Adam after fathering Seth came to be eight hundred years. Meanwhile he became father to sons and daughters."
At that time in human history when humans still had outstanding physical health and vitality, as indicated by the length of their lives, the liklihood of passing on defects as a result of marrying a close relative was not great.
also noticed that Adam lived for a very long time 900 years and had many children. So Cain could of married any one of those sisters within the 900 years. the bible does not state when Cain married his wife.So Cain married his sister or perhaps one of his nieces. Since mankind was then so close to human perfection, such a marriage did not pose the health risks that may happen today in such a union.
