Greetings,
I have learned a lot here on this board. I need help with this one. Scientists have learned a lot about the "Y" chromosomes is the last few years. One of the characteristics of it is that it retains the the identity of the originating male through thousands of years. All generations that follow the original male can be identified to belong to the donors family, tribe or what ever. I have the following problem. There are many diverse "y" chromosome families. If we infact all started with ADAM, all males should show the same characteristics in their "Y" chromosomes. This is clearly not the case. Threfore, based on the science of the "Y" chromosomes, we could have not originated from ADAM. Please explain how this fits into the creation theory. Good Luck. |

That's nothing,
Can somebody try and tell me how it is that when Adam and Eve left the Garden, they were around tribes existing there already? Were they Neanderthals etc... ? Is that why they had some hairy offspring? Is that why some of the kids next generations/lines are still considered as evil by some? This is exactly what it suggests in the bible. (Not Neanderthals off course but tribes and inherantly bad people)... |

This is all I'm gonna say: Anybody who reads the Genesis story of creation factually and literally is insane and in serious need of either psychiatric help or a quantum leap in IQ. All of the clues are right there to support a figurative and metaphorical interpretation.

GjesusM,
It definately is, but I don't know for sure where. It shouldn't take long to find it. I can't right now. I have heard that question being passed around a bit though. (My friend was helping out at a retirement home and a former High Court judge asked himn that same question - at that stage I was more concerned about the flaming swords). (BTW high court here is equivalent to Supreme in the US). If it makes any difference, I was using a King James Version. P.S I also found something else in reading that I don't hear often. Did you know Jesus said in one of the Gospels? that he would return only after the JEWS accept him as christ. No one would believe me and I had to find it - and I did. I have not opened a bible for years, but I had a fair bit memorised at one stage. |
