Yet another example of why there is NO God!

V-G as I have already said I haven't read the entire thread, also I do not believe that a person must ask questions to learn something. People are able to discuss things and learn through that process, they are also able to learn by observing things. Please don't think I am not interested in your belief system just because I haven't asked you a direct question about it. I believe actions speak louder than words and I am watching and observing, albeit on cyber reality, what people are saying.

Now the laws of Saudi Arabia, I am assuming that is where the even occurred because the woman was a Saudi, are derived from Islam. Believe it or not Islam is a peaceful religion, as is Christianity and Judaism from which they are both derived. Yes sure in the name of religion people have done incredibly evil things but so have they been done in the name of science. I am no expert on Islam, I would love to be able to read the Koran in the original Arabic but I can't. However there re parts of the Koran that speak of Hebrews and Christians as being people of the book, meaning the Old testament in the case of Hebrews and the Bible in the case of Christians. It also say that these people have got it wrong when it comes to God and that they misunderstood what God told everyone, it goes further to say that God spoke to Mohamed (sp?) to clear things up and correct any mistakes and that the people of the book were brothers that needed to be "taught" the right things. Now some people take this "taught" bit way to far and teach a lesson through pain. The same goes for their own people.

Now lets try to clear one thing up, are we discussing God or are we discussing religion. They are two separate things. Belief in God is belief in a higher being, being religious means following a way of life. There are many religions and only a few have anything to do with what we are referring to here as God. Science itself is a religion as people follow it blindly, years ago scientist said don't eat red meat cause its bad for you, another time they said potatoes are bad for you don't eat them, each time they say something people follow them blindly. Now they are saying eat these things in moderation so people are.

True. All three religions are aberhamic religions.

The koran has the old testament(torah), the new testament and the revelations of muhammed.

Yes. Islam is a peaceful religion, in Bosnia woman would not be lashed if they were raped. Which is why i said it was a cultural thing. I'm not sure, but i beleive sharia law is an arabic thing not a religious one or it came after muhammed, not sure.

I believe their is something in the quran that says either convert or be taken by the sword. Religion is not perfect and is interpreted in many ways.

Also in the Roman Catholic faith, priest would sell these things, cant remember, to go to purgatory. Now did they really have control over that?

I doubt it.

Humans are not perfect neither is religion. Whether you believe their is a god or if it was created by humans is called faith.

People search their whole lives looking for answers or a religion that suits them best.

Some look at religion as protection and others as an aggressive force that creates strifes and wars.

Some cultures embrace religion as a national awarness and protector as does my culture, (lemkos)

What do you want him to do, save one and not everyone else? It is a personal choice, this is an important thing to understand, you believe he should have helped this one woman, I believe if he does this he should help everyone and not show any favouritism at all. Thing is with this line of thinking is if he helps everyone and they still go on and reject him would he be inclined to help them again? Its not all about God here rather its about an individuals personal choice to either accept or reject.

Why is it that the minute I show that there is major inconsistency with the way god is being described and the world I hear "what do you expect him to do?". I don't expect him to do the same thing Santa does, bring gifts Did you miss the part where I said I didn't believe god existed?

Lemko, I am glad we are on the same page that if I was born in a muslim community I am screwed and will never see heaven. It just goes to show that god didn't give everyone a chance to go to heaven and why wouldn't he? could it be that he doesn't exist?

My apologies. I will state for the record i do have faith that their is a

higher being that judges me and I believe that this higher existence is called God. I am Ukrainian Greek Catholic.

I have faith that God will do good, but have observed good things do not always happen even to good people.

I believe God created heterosexual and homosexual people even if my religion does not.

Whether god is made up by man. Maybe-I don't know, but I have faith that he does.

I hope that when I die, it will not be the end.

I guarantee you there is no black and white answer because none of us know.

If god only accepts one religion and he is all powerful than why does he allow others to exist?
